do for your special someone and do you give to your kids? Every year I try to find something special for my hubby and kids, but every year seems to get harder and harder. Dont have a clue as to what it will be this year. Of course hubby always waits to the last minute then everything is gone. I dream of a day he plans a sweet romantic getaway! Haha What a dream I better pinch myself and wake me up!
Blessings,Karen

more little acts of kindness, like cooking dinner, cleaning, getting my stuff done on time, saying I love you more, buying each person in my family a gift, just doing the little things that count. I do hope though that I always show my love and am always grateful. :)
Hugs,
Channah

Every year it is alsways didferrent, but I always try to do a simple but meaningful gesture to show my love. I hope, after having said that, I show them I love them everyday.

Karen and Sue, I would suggest YOU plan a romantic eve/get away/dinner or what ever, cause if you wait too long, it might be too late.

I plan on remembering all the wonderful , romantic Valentines days my late hubby and I have had. I will take out my tins of cards he gave me over the years (and yes, alot were hand made by him), and read each and everyone of them. Think about all the wonderful surprises that we had for each other. There is something very special about memories like I have of my sweet man, I can close my eyes and almost reach out and touch him, I can still remember what he smelled like, how he felt, and how i felt when he touched me. I remember one of the many wonderful Valentines days that he managed to set a table for 2 with his G/mas china, including candles. he seared-up 2 steaks, had green beans and baked potatos and paid a neighbor to make a cherry pie. He did all this without me knowing, and just as we were to sit down and eat, we realize that our cow is haveing a hard time delivering her first calf. We deal with that (got a healthy bull calf)and re-heat dinner and ate about 10pm that eve. The life of a farmer/rancher, always busy, and always worth every minute.

I decorate with heartshapped rose wreaths I got at Wal-mart on clearance last year. I change out my floral arrangments for red and white. My children hand make their Valentine's. This year they will make them for a nursing home because we are homeschooling. Our church is having a Valentine's thing at church for couples. I have been married for 16 years and I am over waiting for my husband to give me a gift, although I have some beautiful KitchenAid attachments and small appliances!!!

It's all good!

This year my hubby and a few of my married friends have decided that we would celebrate Valentine's day either early or late.... as we have some of our best girls going through divorces and we wanted to make sure that they are taken care of on that day. SO it will be chick flicks, painting nails and lots of laughing.....I think it is so romatic that my hubby sees how important that this is and is willing to shift plans to accommidate...I do love that man.

My parents would always buy us a little valentines day gift and a card- It was something simple but sweet. One year my dad got all of us girls flowers. My hubby usually buys me chocolates :D

If I'm lucky and if I mention it for a few days before Valentines day and then if I don't make dinner that night then we will go to a resturant. Usually Applebee's because for Christmas his sister gave us a coupon for $20. and it needs to be used by March.
Usually we only give the kids a card but now that they all have their own honey's we may just call them up and say Happy Valentines day. No gifts, non, not a one, but they were taught you only buy your wife/ girlfriend a gift. My DH has daughters so they may buy a little gift for their boyfriends but not much. Only Christmas and Birthdays are gift giving times in our homes. It's just to costly. I may make my DH a card.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.
