I just have to vent about my boss. I coach gymnastics classes and she is always thinking that people can work when they can't. She even called one high school girl the night of her Homecoming dance to ask if she was coming in that night!? Now she is avoiding my calls and calling my house (when I told her I am barely home) instead of my cell phone and leaving messages with my parents. From their point of view (from what she has said) they think I don't go into work at times. (There are family issues going on at the same time which makes this ten times worse) Anyway, because of the "issues" I asked for this week off (which isn't that big of a deal where I work). I called her repeatedly leaving a message on both cell phone and house phone and with her family. She hadn't called me back until yesterday leaving a message to make sure I would be in tonight!

I am thinking of leaving this job. I need the money but have had problems with this in the past as well. I love the gymnasts but I can't handle my boss anymore. The job is 1/2 hour (at least) away and she wants me coming in for an hour on Tuesdays when I told her I couldn't. I would be driving just as much as I work and basically the money I make would go toward the gas I used to get there in the first place. I have gotten fewer hours since this one girl "left her full time job and needs hours" when I was promised these hours in the first place. I am moving into an apartment in August and was hoping to be making a lot of money now to save up for that. So in the next hour I am sure I will be getting a call asking if I am coming in tonight. I am home so I will be able to tell her directly what is going on and let her know I that I might not be doing next session.

Sorry. Just had to get the frustration out!

Actually I started a tumbling program at another park district which pays me a lot more and I am basically my own boss. That is my main income right now but as of fall it won't be enough. I am also working a summer camp this summer and will be saving that money too. I am thinking that in the fall I will also work at our library. Money will be very tight until June but I think I can make it without this "problem" job.

Good luck figureing it out. Is there another place that you could go work and teach the same things?
