Well hi all! I am planning a great birthday trip for my husband this year - he'll be turning the big 3-0 and has always wanted to go to the Giants spring training camp in Scottsdale...so guess where we are going for this big birthday trip? Chicago! Just kidding Anyway, I was wondering if any of you ladies out there live, have lived or vacation in Scottsdale and know of any interesting things in the area for us to see/do while we're there. My parents will be coming along, since my hubby and my dad LOVE baseball, they will be seeing 3 games and my mother and I will be twiddling our thumbs with nothing to do and a 4 year old to entertain. So what can we do? We heard about an old west town to check out, but other than that, we've got nothing. If you've got any ideas, I'd be mighty glad to hear them!!!

Here ya go Melissa!

I went there while traveling with a dear friend on a business trip. Your kids will love it! It's lots of fun and the organist takes requests too! It's a very busy place. Wish I could think of something else, but I'm coming up blank. When we lived in Phoenix, many moons ago, I mostly remember going to the library and hanging out with kids from our churches youth group. :)

Thanks Sarah! If you know it, I'd love to find out the name of that pizza place - sounds like it would be a kick! And it's too bad about the auction, my husband would have loved to see all the old cars. :-)

There is a really cool pizza place out there where the entire restaurant is a gigantic pipe organ. A man plays the organ and you can see all the pipes on the walls around you. The pizza isn't too bad either! If this sounds like something you might be interested in let me know and I'll get more info for you.

When I think of Scottsdale I think, Barrett Jackson auto auction!! But I think it will be over by the time you head that direction. :( They have the most beautiful antique and collector cars I've ever seen.
