pants or jeans? I know this is just a rant or a complaint from a grandma, but it really bothers me. I think if the clothes manufacturers would make pants that actually go to the waistline people would buy them. I get so tired of seeing everyones crack all the time. I know its hard to find jeans that cover these days, but aren't these fashion trends suppose to change after a while. I am ready for a change.... and one that covers! Just wondering if I am the only fuddy duddy out there.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Almost as bad as girls who wear the thongs peeking out of their low rise jeans are the girls who wear their pajamas to the store. In the middle of winter when it's below freezing--there they are wearing pj's. There are fashion statements and then there are fashion MIS-statements.

I never thought of duct tape! That would work. When I said I wish they would make pants that go to the waistline, what I really meant wes high enough to cover the crack completely. I just can't wait till this fashion trend goes down in history and the one that requires boys to hold their pants with up with one hand or they will fall all the way down. Common sense where did you go?

ooooo, I have one of those across the street. It's something to see. He's got on boxer shorts, plus sometype of other short AND his long pants were below his butt. WHILE playing street basketball in the summer. I couldn't understand his pants staying UP while playing basketball. I'm thinking the boy had some serious duct tape going on. LOL!

Oh I hate those jeans! I did buy 2 pair of the low rise not realisng how low they would go till I washed em,tried em on & sat down. I was shocked! I'm now turning them into long skirts so the waist will stay where it's supposed to.

I work in a restaurant and see alot of it, I always wonder don't they
feel the breeze? And the boys with those pants hanging off them I actually
asked one of them how can that be comfortable and how do you walk fast
with your pants hanging to your knees? I also hope the styles change for

I can not stop laughing.... I agree with the no crack zone. But it is hard to find jeans that fit correctly. I am ready for a style change. Until then long shirts with the jeans or skirts for me!!!

It's uncomfortable, not to mention breezy!!
I have tried these types of pants on b/c the style was nice, but the low cut is too much.
Don't much care for the sensation that any minute my pants will slip off either.
Haven't tried the Victoria's Secret ones but I hear they are nice too |

I agree with the crack part but I admit I wear the mid-rise jeans. The ones that fit at the waist feel like they are cutting me in half. I occasionally wear the low-rise but with a belt and a long shirt. The only one of us that wear the low-low ones is my youngest. She is 21 and wears a size 0000 jeans. (truly they make 0000 jeans) She ways 95lbs and is a dancer. She can actually wear those things with no crack. My pet peeve is those pants the boys wear below the butt and you get a good look at everything. I once got behind one in a line for a movie and he actually had his pants duct taped to his boxer shorts. Yuk. I really have to fight the urge to pants them when I see them. My girls all hate them too.

Oh my...daily confession, I too in the stupidity of my youth and ex-husband have indeed a "tramp stamp". Ugh, how refreshing to confess to you ladies thank you! I do have regrets now but back in the day when I was much, much smaller I loved it. Now, it hides (always) I also have some low jeans because they fit nice around my er um tummy that I'm working very hard at getting rid of but I do not have the ol crack problem! That's such downright uncomfy with all the bending I do, who wants to keep pulling up their britches up all the time!

Oh, I agree with you all! The worst though is when you see a middle aged overweight guy with "plumbers butt" oooo gross!
The young girls do it, I suppose, to attract the attention of the opposite sex.
I wear a lower rise jean, because of the shape I have, more comfy, but I make sure they don't pull down, or else I wear a longer top, no one wants to see my middle aged "crack" I'm sure!!:)
My son, is a decent hard working young man, but he got into wearing his jeans low on his hips when it was the height of fashion. I will say that he shows boxers when the jeans pull down(and he is skinny as a rail, so it does happen, even when he wears a belt), but it drives hubby nuts to see this!!!! At least where he works the shirts are all long tailed, and they do wear them outside their pants, so that helps.
And, my 24 year old daughter also has a "tramp stamp", it's the NY Yankees logo, she does regret it some, but the only time it shoes is if she wears a 2 piece bathing suit.

I wear long undershirt that I add a band of crochet too ( the band is 6 to 8 inches wide and I wear with those type of jeans so I am not flashing people as I can't stand it.

This is too funny! First of all Marian, a tramp-stamp is a tatoo that is on your lower back just above the hipline, it usually shows when wearing lower cut jeans. It seems that a lot of young women have them, including my 24 year old daughter, (she regrets it now). I really can't stand those low-cut jeans, the zippers are only two inches long and the pants always feel like they are falling down. I also don't like the regular waist line jeans "mom jeans" because I am short waisted and they feel like an underwire bra. I have found that the mid-rise jeans are nice and a lot of manufacturers are making them now. Lee, Levi, Victoria's Secret, etc...most of the time, I just wear my over-alls. I don't have to worry about any "crack" showing and I find quite a few for sale at Goodwill stores.

I like a lower rise. Feels like I can breathe. But the crack issue is crazy!
Eddie Bauer makes a very nice lower rise, boot cut that I love so much that these too are starting to wear thin. The cost is waaay too much of course, but these jeans are worn every day to work.
And the double whammy crack and tramp stamp is also low class
Some people have no cooth these days.
And to think MY mom used to upset for me wearing t-shirts! |

I hate it too! I do have some "low riders" but not THAT low, lol. They are high enough to cover my you know what properly. And IF they didn't I would wear a long top over them.
And the ones that are so big they are on the hips and the crotch is somewhere between the knees.....yuck, double yuck!

I have seen some adds lately for Riders jeans that advertise the "no gap back" and show a lady squatting (in a nice way) and no gap and plenty of jean material covering her bottom and back. I think Riders just got a new customer- just have to figure out where they are sold around here. I hate having that part of my body show- just how I was raised I suppose and this past decade of hipster pants has been a nightmare for me. I hate that style and I hope it fades from fashion soon!! |

OMG do I agree with this!!!! It is just awful!!!!! I get tired of seeing cracks and I get tired of seeing pants that are worn so far down I see underware!!! You guys all very right I am tired of seeing this and it needs to go!!!!!

OMGosh! Mom and I were in a store the other day when we turned a corner and a sales-clerk was sitting on a short stool, stocking a shelf and she had hipsters on and ...well...you can just guess the view I was shocked with. Mind you, she was only about a size 5, so it's not like her pants didn't fit right. That's just how they were made. I asked her where something was just so she'd get up and my mama wouldn't have to see her..cause believe me...mama would have said something. She's 82....and as she puts it...she don't have time to dilly-dally about it or think it over, she just says it!!! lol If your going to work in public and all you have is hipsters in your closet....at least wear a long top to cover yourself. As we say around here,"Have a party and invite your pants up to your top." Have some pride people. "Nuff said?"
