My good friends Karen and Carly moved to Colorado. It's good for their family and I am happy for them, but I sure do miss their company. We are really lucky that I have family that is pretty close to them so we will still get to see each other and it makes me ever more thankful for the internet to maintain the friendship.

Of course you and Tala will make it. Let me know when you do, and when it is, etc. I just have to come see you both in Boise. Nothing like seeing a gal and her horse doing what they both love. Wow!

We make a difference.

Alee, that would be awesome. Maybe some of the gals from near Denver would want to join us!

Michelle- Yes! I miss you guys up in the Palouse so much! I will probably be coming "home" for a little time in September. Keep your fingers crossed that Tala and I can qualify for Sport Horse Nationals in Boise!!

Robin- Oh! If I do get to come visit my family sometime soon, maybe we can have a farmgirl get together! You all have got to meet my friend Karen! She is such a great lady! I just love her!

Elizabeth,

If you know where the Zoo and Museum of Nature and Science are, you know my neighborhood. Central Denver.

Hmm, when your friends move (poke poke) it really is a bummer ALEE. :) But, I agree, the happiness for a friend who moves closer to her dreams outweighs the sadness of missing their closer company.

We make a difference.

Around Ft. Collins. My grandparents aren't doing so great in Laramie so as soon as I have any travel money at all I will be heading down for a long weekend. Maybe we can plan lunch or something!

I sure will- and they are closer to your corner of the world now, Elizabeth! Maybe next time I drive down to that area we can all get together! I bet you would love Carly and Karen! They are just really great people!

Alee, i'm sorry to hear your friends have moved away. I know the feeling, and Jonni, I believe it IS harder to make friends as we get older. though i'm not quite sure why. But I have yet to have the good friends i have made locally stay in one place. and i get overly lonely at times! how does one deal with this sad feeling? it's actually one of my new year's intentions, to try harder to make some friends this year. but, because i don't work, go to college anymore, and live in the country, it's tough. well, alee, if you ever find yourself in Laramie again, maybe we can get together! hang tough, fellow farmgirl... i have found having an actual handwritten penpal (who i found on MJF!) helps ease some of the loneliness... handwritten letters feel more personal to me... maybe you could be penpals with your friends that moved?

That's rough, Alee...I find it's so difficult to make friends as we get older, have families and obligations. I love the internet, but nothing beats a night with the girls sitting around eating a pint of ice cream! Hopefully they like travelling, or you do--make sure to connect.

Sorry Alee that your friends moved... :( However, the internet is great for keeping in touch!
