I will do the usual this eve, go to bed around 9:30 pm, be blasted awake by the phone at midnight, my daughter calling to say happy New Year, and me mumbleing something in return, and dropping the phone on the floor, to be re-woke by that annoying recording, "if you'd like to make a call, please hang-up and try again". I will get up at my usual time tomorrow morn, and won't even realize its New Years Day til someone says something, and I will give them this look, "Are you sure thats today?". I will them turn on the dreaded TV, so I can watch the Rose Parade, and wish and state that "someday" I will go see this in person, (" yeah right, when pigs fly, lol"). Other than that, same stuff differant day in the life of a ranch/farmer women.

Happy New Year, all! Here's to a more encouraging 'twenty-ten'. That's how I'm going to say it instead of 'two thousand ten'...got to get in the habit of it.

Well, just so ya'll know, everything I predicted in my previous post came true, lol. Here I sit , sorta bleary eyed cause I got woke up by my daughter last night, dropped that damn phone ( I swore I hit the off button), and got woke back up by that "if you'd like to make a call...", I've seen a few minutes of the parade, and Friday is bread day, which does not change cause they call this one a holiday, so off to check my rising dough... have a great day ya'll.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

I hear ya' Teresa . . . kinda the same here. I did manage to stay up until about 10 after the midnight hour, but it was only because when I got up from watching TV at 11 to get ready for bed, I started going through stuff on my desk . . . then stuff on my project table . . . then changing the calendars . . . then there were fireworks going off at midnight both south and north of our house. Our dog heard the popping of the fireworks so she got up . . . all alert . . . all ears!!
And, it doesn't feel any different this morning. Still snowy and still cold . . .but the sun is shining and I have the day off.
So-o-o-o, we're off and running . . . sorta . .

Hee Hee! Love how you put it Teresa! I am home with the cat, fire in the stove, will have a glass of wine later with a movie. Once in bed, will probably get calls myself.... Happy New Year to you!

For tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, but keep me, guide me, love me, Lord just for today.
