Posted - Dec 29 2009 : 2:54:39 PM Finally! Kept putting it off due to my unpredictable part time job schedule & I hated the way my previous health insurer conducted theirs-conveyer belt hurry hurry job. Did it today while school is closed. Nice to have it done by a real Dr & staff. Was a bit nervous as it's been 3 years but figure I'd better start lookin after myself more as I'm not gettin any younger. Hopin alls good as far as cholestoral, etc goes.

Posted - Dec 30 2009 : 09:20:37 AM Interesting about the cholesterol. I have a high LDL count. All this stuff has me scared.
I have not heard the results from the needle biopsy and will call today. This is not a good time of year to be ill what with vacations, holidays, etc.
I'm still on methotrexate and I had better call the doctor and see if I should discontinue it as well.

Posted - Dec 30 2009 : 09:10:42 AM Betty- keeping you in my thoughts for good results. Only thing I'm wondering about is like I mentioned before is the cholestoral as they've gotten so much stricter about it-I've always come thru with excellent levels before,so we'll see. Blood pressure is normal so that's good.

Sherrie- yours as well! I can understand putting going to the doctor off. I am bad that way. I don't like going in and I am horrible about taking medicine!

Posted - Dec 29 2009 : 3:02:30 PM I know what you mean about waiting. I found a lump in my thigh and thought about putting it off. Remicade takes a good chunk of my insurance money. Well, lo and behold if my rheumatologist didn't take me off Remicade. Seems lymphoma is a side effect of Remicade. It is also a way of getting rid of a Medicare patient.
Had an MRI, a nuclear bone scan, a CT scan, and a needle biopsy. I'm waiting the results of the last one. It is so scary.
