I want to wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and share the Christmas "letter" I sent out this year.

(Now you'll know a little bit more about me.)

CHRISTMAS 2009

Oh, my goodness, it’s that time of year
And it’s time to send some Christmas cheer!
I’ll catch you up on how we’ve been;
News of me and my 3 young men.

We’ve been busy with work, school and play;
Never a dull moment comes our way.
I’d rather like a day with nothing to do,
But those days are numbered and far too few.

Robert is 19; he works quit a lot
Washing windows and serving drinks cold and hot.
He bought a car and then by himself fixed it all
When the rear of the car met a tree last fall.

William is 17; two words say it all,
He does both quite well: it’s music and football.
Plays football for the Generals and coaches little league too,
Very talented on guitar and piano, I tell you.

John is 15; brings home blue ribbons from the pool.
He’s a year-round swimmer, which is very cool.
He also runs and just did his first 5K;
Came in 9th in his age group, which is great, I say!

As for me (my age I’ll not tell),
I’m co-authoring a book that I hope will sell well.
I still perform historical one-woman shows and
Teaching art, drama and homeschooling keeps me on my toes.

This is the season that God gave us his Son
I’m really blessed to know Him one on one.
The gift is free and just for you;
All you need to say is (like in marriage) “I do.”

We hope that this year has been a good one for you
Full of blessings and peace and fun thrown in too.
It is the season of love and good cheer;
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Love,
Vanessa,
Robert, William and John

Hi Vanessa! I really liked your poem, especially the part about knowing Jesus one-on-one! And, yes..."I do too!"
