What a great platter Nancy Jo!
My mom gave me the family turkey platter to me for my birthday. I am having Thanksgiving at my house this year and she thought it was time I inherited it as she bought it the year I was born. It is the Friendly Village pattern. I love it!

For tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, but keep me, guide me, love me, Lord just for today.

Very nice platter. I will agree that it has a 40s or 50s look. I have an oval one with a turkey on it. Similar to yours. MB

Nancy I have one that is very similar only oval in shape. It was my moms and she gave it to me several years ago, it has seen many turkeys over the years. I think she got it around 1962.

Thank you MJ. Do you collect turkeys? I think this may have been popular in the 40's or 50's, so maybe you will see one around at some point.

Nancy, I love that platter. I have a thing for turkeys anyway. I just love them. How wonderful it is you still have that wonderful piece of your family's holiday tradition. I haven't seen another one like that.
