I stopped in a mall just north of Detroit and saw a storefront that was totally dedicated to "beautiful eyebrows"

Now, I have been known to have my brows waxed every now and then when I am getting my hair cut; but i was astounded that there was enough money in eyebrows to run an entire salon inside an expensive mall dedicated only to two square inches of space on faces.

Is this a Detroit thing or is this common all over the country? I have to admit I haven't even been inside our local mall since last Christmas.

I have had mine waxed a time or two and the time a good part of skin came off too, well, I decided no more waxing. Besides a stylist once told me that it ages your skin quicker. I dont need any help with that either. I pluck what needs to go, that is, as best I can see them. LOL

I guess I'm lucky, My brows are ok with me, I do occasionally pluck one that grew 2 inches over night but a store just for eyebrows sounds crazy to me. I don't think I would want to work in one either.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Well, since I turned 50, mine get unruly sometimes, and some of them are grey, well to be honest, many of them are grey. Since I dye my hair, my eyebrows don't match....

Especially the long crazy ones... But, my regular salon can deal with them, I don't need a special eyebrow salon...

Yes, Teresa, that's what I said, and that's what I do now. Never again.

Good Lord, doesn't anyone just pluck their own anymore???

My nephews little girlfriend just took a two day class to do "that" (whaterver it is) to eyebrows. I laughed at the thought but, now reading this feel a little silly, I guess it is popular.

Waxing is not for me, thank you. My twice a year hairdresser talked me into waxing my eyebrows. My eyes watered for the whole day! I had these strips of hair for eyebrows. I hated the pain and I hated what it looked liked. Each his or her own, but diffently not for me.
Any who... I knew I was was from the country when: one of my older sisters begged me NOT to wear my red boots to a wedding! LOL I still laugh about that. ROFL

My crazy mother wants that, Alee. Something on her lips. I make ruthless fun of her, so I don't think she'd ever go through with it...I swear, over and over that I am NOT her child. I hardly comb my hair and she wants to look like she has lip color on at all times!!!

They have place here that does permanent make up (AKA facial tattooing). I think they do waxing as well there.

California was BIG on that when I was out there a few years ago. I was always being stopped because my eyebrows run on the thicker side. : )

There is one in the Florence Mall (here in little ole' Kentucky!). Personally, I think it would be a colossal waste of money for a business venture, but then, I also think the mall is a colossal waste of money. We had to go to Penney's for some patent leather baby shoes for Violet, and saw the storefront from the entrance to the mall...
