I think we'll keep her!

Finally got some pics of Violet from Halloween. Her costume was such fun to make, though she does resemble a Falcon. Member of the Raptor Family, though, right?

Thanks, Zan and Stephanie! Zan, you are not the first to tell me that...I tried to see what was up with my settings on the blog and everything was "ticked" as it should be. Who knows. Technology!!!

Funny you mention that, Jeannie :) Her Nana and Auntie Liv kept calling her "night owl" because she does stay up a bit later than most little owls, I think. She's a 9:30, 10:00 sleeper, who then sleeps through the whole night. It does have trade-offs!

That's debatable, Julie :) It was a Martha Stewart template that we blew up on a drafting copier (think house plans!) and then I just utilized my common sense because there was very little direction from Martha :) A lot of the instruction required "glue" but felt and glue really aren't friends, especially for all the layers that went into it, so I just ended up sewing with clear thread.

What a great costume!

Jumped onto your blog and especially liked the photo of the 3 kids together.

Violet looked ready for action.

Can't believe how big she is getting!

How nice to hear that Violet went to the Hospice Center. I bet they loved her.

Thank you both so much! This was a great deal of fun, making her costume, and that she's just such an easy-going, lovely, little girl makes it even better.

Hoot hoot Hoot, Marly! I'm so glad it gave you a smile! She sure can make me laugh, too, and that hooting, you'll be happy to know that while we walked the neighborhood with her older cousins running door to door, she was hooting! Made us all laugh! We also took her the next day, all dressed up in her costume, to the hospice center where Jus's grandmother is residing now. Sure made a lot of folks there happy, too. Staff, patients, families.

I just might enter those pics--I don't pat myself on the back too often, but I do love that costume, and how it turned out. Suits her so!

I've been mowing my yard, thinking of Violet hooting like an owl. That has just made my day, thank you. By the way, you should enter those pictures in next year's Halloween contests. I'd bet Violet would come in first!!!!
Hoot hoot hoot!

Thanks, Jessie! She was such a little trooper, and didn't try to take anything off, not once. I really enjoyed making her costume. I will probably continue to do so until she decides to be Hannah Montana or something!
