Posted - Nov 01 2009 : 12:55:14 PM It wasn't bad, just bizarre..... I'm on Twitter,& I follow the local news channel. They put up a tweet announcing the feds just closed my bank & it's been taken over by another bank. I tell my Dad,who has a safety deposit box there, and seeing as items in those boxes aren't covered by fdic,we go over to empty it. The new bank was a little bummed at his doing this, but didn't give us any hassle-in fact they were very nice in assuring me it was gonna be biz as usual with my account. I get the mail, and some independent company must be checking peeps with resale permits.I get a letter saying I have to have a biz lic. to operate in my city. All I ever knew about selling online was you had to have the resale #. I look up the cities rules on this, and find I need to get a "home occupation permit" for nearly $69,then they'll see if I also need a city lic on top of that. I have no signs or anything outside telling of my business. I don't sell yard sale style,so I really don't understand the fuss. More trick than treat this year,I think. And....my boss forgot to tell me my schedule for this week.

Posted - Nov 01 2009 : 1:08:16 PM Hi Sherrie, Hang in there...glad things went ok with the safe deposit box. Weird about the home occupation permit stuff. Makes you wonder if somebody put them up to it since you're not advertising at your home. Let us know how it turns out.
