hahaha! Don't read MaryJane's magazine when you are in the middle of cooking pasta....cuz you will be so absorbed in your reading that you will forget about your pasta and end up with a pot of mush! lolol!
Ok, toss out pasta mush, put down magazine, and put on another pot of water....read magazine after dinner.
Ok, dinner is done, I am sitting back enjoying a cup of Dejeerling w/honey and reading my Dec/Jan magazine...
Which by the way...I spotted the idea for "Huckleberry Mimosa"...yumm!
I LOVE the sweet tea cup ideas.....and I am thinking about trying the LemonGarlic Broccoli recipe this weekend.
It was sad to see the picture of MaryJane's husbands family barn, collasped from age and snow....I had the good fortune to see the old barn (last year) and I even have a picture of it stashed in my photo archives. At the time that I took the picture, I was unawear it belonged to the family. I just thought it was an amazing iconic bit of farm scenery.
Well, time to re-fill my tea cup....and finish reading....
anybody have any crafty ideas for pasta mush!??! lol!

Got mine out of the mailbox, Wednesday, grabbed a ginger ale and parked myself on the sofa to absorb. Such a wonderful way to unwind after a day at school.

don't feel silly,,,,the strings refer to "a mother never letting go, always trying to be in control".
Thanks for poping by my blog.....ya, it is a bit of a long read, but I love having a "Diary" that I can share...
Blogs are a way to share our day to day musings especially when our families are scattered all over the USA.

Grace!

I just had the funnest time enjoying my cup of (caffeine free grain) coffee and reading your blog! It's been like 45 minutes and I have things to do! wish I didn't though, I'd keep reading.

Thanks for all the pictures and posts! I'm inspired to make a few more aprons! (good thing too, because I'm making 5 of them for a recycled fashion show at my church, they are due next week - eeps!)

anyways, thanks!

I know, and I am such a stinker! lol!

I love the quote that is on page 82..."A good mother gives her daughter an apron WITHOUT strings"...Virginia Helwig...
isn't that the best? hmmm, now I am thinking about making a special apron for my daughter (for Christmas) with this quote embroidered on it...now that she to will be a mommy soon...my daughter & Son-in-Love have started the paperwork to adopt....and I have started sewing baby snugglies....can ya see the grin on my face?
