I like these and picked another one up the other day. I was wondering what they were used for? Sure don't give off enough light to get you anyplace at night without getting lost.

Maybe they used the littles for trips to the bathroom :)
It probably saved on using up so much oil? (shrugging here)

I use my bigger ones, but have never used the little ones.

I have used mine many times (hurricanes), and they are better than candles. They give lots of light when you have no electricity. I even have oil below my kitchen sink to refill my lamps.

Very cute little lamp. I have two of them and I cleaned them real well and filled mine with super bright buttons and tied raffia around the neck. I figured like you they wouldn't do much good for light so I decided to fix them up cute. Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes the mini lamps.....

Warm Wishes
Jennifer

These were used back in our grandmother and greatgrandmother's day when there was no electricy
I think I remember my grandmother having one
Remember they didn't have light like we do today.
So,
to them it probably was quite alot
I am like you Nancy
they don't give a lot of light
but it they had several in a room then that would help
I don't know how they did needlework by those lights and by fire light alone
I tried to one time when the lights were out and dang.
I couldn't see to thread the needle
I guess grandmother and great grandmother's eye sight was much better
and they ate a lot of carrots. lol
your lamp is very cute; looks old too .hugs sheila
