One of my FAVORITE all time inspirations. I agree with everything except sharing a bedroom with Charlie. I need my space!! But I don't need a lot.

Posted - Oct 21 2009 : 10:55:06 AM I had to laugh a little reading this. Obviously she gets child support from her business man husband, so she has the blessing of choice and I really am happy she chooses to live simply, that's wonderful. I grew up in a two room-hunting camp with rudimentary plumbing and an attic divided in two for a bedroom for three kids and my parents. When I tell people this they ask me if we were hippies. Nope, just poor. And damn it, Oprah never did a story on me.
Oh well...

Posted - Oct 21 2009 : 10:41:08 AM LOL Brooke..I actually watched the show on Oprah when it aired and it was a mutual divorce. That is why I want 2 bedrooms for us...we all need our privacy. I like the idea of it...having a lot less and living a lot more.

Posted - Oct 21 2009 : 10:30:46 AM I get some of this.. I do.. I'm kind of doing some of the same things... but I wonder...did she really have to leave her husband? That's kind of sad for the kids. And what is going to happen when her kids get older? She can't keep living in one room with them ... but I know that's beside the point.. LOL... I just had to think about the other things. Don't mind me. LOL.
