Our high school friend, Sally, was in the NY Post online edition with this headline...Happily, Sally, her husband, and best of all, baby Alice are all fine! Hope her life continues to be such an adventure (only a "little" less harried!!!)

Jonni,
Yes Alice was determined to enter the world her way. Oh how that made me laugh, only after I knew that they were all okay. That will be a day none of them will forget!!!!!!

I'm very happy for them, Karin and Julia. Sally was a year behind us at Interlochen, and she met Addison her senior year. They've been together ever since. Her smile is wonderful, isn't it? And that little baby girl--what a lovely little thing!

Nature is so amazing!

Well, I didn't have this experience, because it seemed like Violet was just gonna stay all year in there, but I always feel that these children (who are born like, RIGHT NOW!) are going to grow with such a sense of determination! And, knowing Sally as I do, I think her daughter will be very much the same--head on straight, determined, and talented little girl!

How scary for them, but thankfully everyone is okay! I know a girl who, several years ago, had her baby in the bathroom of the Olive Garden! Yikes!

So, true, Amie, so true!! They seem no worse for the wear, though I bet that cabbie was just mortified. Thank heavens for vinyl seats!!!

"All's well that ends well", as Ma Ingalls would say. I'm glad everybody's ok.

The story doesn't say what the poor cab driver's reaction was!

Oh my goodness!!! I'm so glad they are all ok. What a dramatic entrance for little Alice.

My mother is a Nurse Midwife. She has assisted in births both at home and in birth centers since the 1970's. She has had to deliver several babies in cars on the way to the hospital or birth center.......... but I am sure it is alarming every time it happens! Yikes!
