Hey gals: In addition to quilting, collecting buttons, beading and cooking, I love to draw and paint. Anyone else do that kind of stuff too? I'd love to hear from you here.

Maggie" that's not my work, it's Lisa Two. You're right, it is great!

But girls, this isn't about who makes the nicest stuff. I asked the question does any like to paint or draw or crafty stuff. I'm talking enjoying it without being judged. I hope we can still do that for ourselves. "Try it, you'll like it"

Very pretty, Lisa. I can paint up a storm in my head but when I try to actually do it, it's awful. Why is taht? I feel like I am kind of artistic and see things certain ways in my head but that's as far as I get with it. I hate stright lines so that's ok with me if I can't draw one. I do everything curvy around here. Even garden rows look better to me curvy. I do envy artistic people, though.

Those are beautiful Lisa, my stick people look bad, I have zero artistic talent. You should be proud.

I can't draw a straight line with a ruler. My stepdaughters can draw and paint as well as your paintings. I wish I could do it, they are just so beautiful and a true gift from God. Thanks for sharing.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Bonnie--I also like to draw and paint. There are a couple of my paintings on my blog. I just started painting a few years ago, have no formal training. It just feels good to put brush to canvas and create. I also do embroidery and I want to learn to knit. I have a lot of buttons, all vintage. Some came from craft stores or resale shops. I like to cook when I'm in the right mood--tonight it was roasted root vegetables. Can you post some pictures of your creations?

These are beautiful Bonnie.. YES.. I think that all surfaces are a canvas... I will try to take some photos of things I have done at my house to "beautify" my surroundings to post as well.

Hi Bonnie,

I love to paint. I just have a hard time finding the time. What do you paint and in what medium. Here are some pictures of some of my stuff...

It's been a while since I picked up a brush, but now I want to go break out my oils!

Smiles,
Lisa
