I make my suet by mixing bird feed with lard & then filling the suet cages.. Messy, & not sure if it is cost efficient, but that is how I do it.

What a great idea! I am going to use my little round jello molds to make mini ones. Thanks Nancy!

What a wonderful idea! Definitely going to give this a try NancyJo, thanks for posting the directions on your blog too.
We love to have things out for the birds here. We are definite birdwatchers and the little ones enjoy seeing them come to eat too!

That's so cool!! I wonder if you could use Chill-over powder to make these? I love that stuff. :)
You are going to have some very happy birds, Nancy Jo!

Jennifer and everyone else, FYI, I use my Christmas tree skeleton to grow vines on, i.e., cucs, morning glory, sweet peas, sugar snap peas, etc.

When we put our Christmas tree outside after New Year's, I always decorate it for the birds.
Thanks for a new idea for decorations!!

I made this with a reg. size bundt pan, but you could make it with the little bundt pans if you have them.

That looks great! How fun and inexpensive too! I am thinking I could buy a whole bag of birdseed and do fun little shapes and do feeding stations aroud all of our windows so maybe the birds will come to us this winter. I bet Nora would love that!

Is it stable enough that they can land of the wreath?
