Just got back from our romantic weekend, was hoping to see photos of Frannie's wonderful finds. But as I see not yet. Guess I will have to be patient.

Frannie -

I understand the dust thing, as soon as I clean I swear it looks like I didn't touch a thing. I think this comes with living in old houses and having 3 cats .

We're doing some laundry and then packing it up to go to the coast for a romantic weekend. Took the day off today from work and have Monday off also. It's our 16th wedding anniversary today, so DH made reservations at a really nice resort on the coast "The Romance Package"

Can't wait to see your pictures.

Anne

Anne .. i usually take my camera with me on my journeys .. but here in Kentucky .. on these back roads .. there just are NO pull-offs on the side roads ... it is usually a DITCH .. and lots of curves and hills .. i'd surely get smacked in the beeeehind if i stopped to take photos of the sites i see! you MUST come see 'em for yourself! each season is so lovely!

i'll take some pics of my latest 'finds' and post 'em real soon! today i'm in the 'spring cleaning' kinda' mood. am changing 'winter' covers for spring/summer covers on the guest beds ... airing out coverlets .. doin' some 'scrubbing' where the sun don't shine .. but the dust surely collects! ever hear the bible sayin' .. "from dust thou wert to dust thou returneth" (errrrr ... sumpthin' like that?) WELL .. i sure have a lotta' people comin' and goin' under my beds and behind my fridge!

might make a run to the postie today and 'do lunch' out with honey hunk .. then back home again .. to dress some more black dollies .. and take some pics to post. what cha'll up to today? xo

Frannie -

Every time I read one of your posts it just makes me smile. It sounds like you have a wonderful source for cool old stuff - I am truely jealous. I have to travel quite a ways to find small "junk" stores etc that haven't gotten caught up in the "Shabby Chic" fad and jacked up their prices. My mom use to drag me around all the time (being the youngest) I was the only one around. We would go to some of the most junky, trashy, places and she would find all kinds of treasures. She got old iron gates for the yard, a frame (that was all there was) of a small woman's style chair, that my dad had to kinda rebuild - she had it reupholstered and was so cute. My sister has it now. Now when I can and my husband and I are out in the sticks I drag him to these types of place to poke around and find things. You definitely have to post pictures of your latest finds and some time take a camera with you - I would like to see pictures of the countryside you trek through and of these stores.

Thanks for sharing
