My son and I were on our way home, I just picked him up from school. The school is about 4 miles away and virtually in the country. I was 100 yards from my house and some guy popped over the hill and nearly hit us head on. I swerved and rode the ditchline, but he still slammed us in the side. He said he was reaching for something over the visor. He left a 100 ft black mark or further... AFTER he hit us. My airbags came out, and where Im so short my mouth hit the steering wheel. The airbags were a tad delayed and we're not sure why they came out since I was hit in the side. My face is terribly swollen and bruised and Im sore all over and my son has a very stiff neck. We didnt go to the hospital yesterday so hubby made us go today. But all is in one piece, Im just ugly right now. I am thankful for my families prayers of safety day by day, and I am thankful for my farmgirl blossoms (Pals) who pray for one another daily. I love you all, Life is sweet and the Lord is good, ALL THE TIME. Blessings, Mikki

So glad you're both ok, Mikki. I don't know why some people drive too fast on country roads. Especially over blind spots like hills or curves.

Mikki, glad to hear you all are ok but I'm sure you are both sore. I thank the Lord that you all are going to be alright, but I know it must have been scary. Hugs!

Mikki, I am so glad it wasn't any worse than that. I'm sure ya'll are very sore now. But that will hopefully improve daily. We have lots of little hilly curves here and I am always thinking about people coming over a hill and whacking me. Too scary. Ya'll are very fortunate and obviously this was a "God thing"! So glad ya'll are ok. This just goes to show us that in a blink of an eye anything can happen behind the wheel.

Mikki- I was in a car wreck earlier this year and I thought I was fine for the first couple of days- just sore and bounced around, but it turned out I had hurt my back, my neck and had a micro fracture in my elbow. If you are still feeling sore in another day- go back to the doctors! Make sure this guy's insurance pays for everything too! Nora ended up getting $700 for her whiplash and I got almost $5000. Not to make it sound like it's about the money, because that money didn't make up for the fact that I couldn't pick my daughter up with out excruciating pain for over a month and that every day tasks were hard and the emotional stress and pain that a car wreck puts you through. But that guy could have really hurt or killed you and your son. He and you both are very very very lucky. Maybe if his insurance premiums go up he will think better about driving more safely!

He didn't do any xrays or scans. He said if there was something injured it usually shows immediately. So I'm keeping a close eye on my son. Sadly our smalltown hospital doesn't have a very good reputation. But the dr we seen is usually thorough so I was a little surprised. He just made us move our heads and had me bend over. But I'm sure we're both fine Just veryyy sore right now. Thanks so much everyone!
