I went the other day and picked the rest of the grapes off of the vine and figured i had enough to make some jam. WEll, after a huge mess everywhere in my kitchen, i have great jam! Its even all organic. Which to me makes it that much better. Its actually not that hard, i would even recommend it to anyone that at least has some knowledge of cooking. It was well worth it to see it sitting up there on my self as a trophy, and i got to put four little stumpy jars in my canning cellar. My first contribution to the many shelves! Its a slow start but we have only lived there for about a month now so i have to start somewhere.

Thank you Claudia, you inspired me to go and get those grapes and do something with them! So today I've made two batches of grape jelly. Now everything in my kitchen is purple and sticky, including me!!!

Oh, I'm so glad to hear of your conquest! Every time I can something, I too wind up with a HUGE mess! Always wonder what I'm doing wrong. But yes, it's wonderful to look what you've made. Congratulations.

That's cool Claudia!!! I've always wanted to can stuff....no time though...and nothing growing in the yard. LOL! I love love love fresh rape jam. So much better than smuckers! My auntiw makes it from concord grapes in her yard. Sooo good. :)

Congratulations Claudia!!! Canning really isn't hard just the prep time is pretty time consuming. I bet your jam tastes wonderful!
