I have been looking for a manual cream seperator and was thinking about putting so eggs in the incubator to have spring laying hens.
Yesterday I was talking with a friend who is selling off his milk goats and equipment and has a cream seperator just like the one I am looking for. I just happened to mention the eggs and incubator.
He said how about you give me $100 for the seperator and I'll give you 10 1-year old layers, because I know you will take good care of the girls, and can really use the seperator.
WOW!! just the seperator itself is worth between $200-$300 dollars. Plus 10 layers and not having to raise them through the winter. My feet did not touch the ground until late last night.
I will pick up every thing tomorrow afternoon.

Yeah!!!! I'm skipping for you, 10 hens and no babies, how exciting. You did get a great deal on the seperator. Way to go. More and more people are learning to trade and deal. Good for you.
