My FOUR Grand daughters have all played tea party. They are growing up so fast that just the two younger ones play now. I took a picture of a few of there tea party things I have collected over the last several years. There is a lot more, but this shows some of it.

Melody, that sounds like a great idea. Cheryl, I'll have the spare room ready. Your did say you make your own bed right? Heather"my daughters name" thankyou for your kind words. Linda, never! to old for a tea party.Shari, big hats are a must for a proper tea party.Sherie, get some pretty tea cups to go with those Antigue tea pots. Brenda, you can have one for the little and big since you have both sizes.

I love tea parties! I even started a tea society, so I can have them all the time! I inherited all of my Grandmother's victorian china, and tea sets, and have used them a lot since. You can even have themed tea parties. I love the idea of pearls and hats or tiaras. I like to play "Big Hat Croquet" (everyone must wear a big hat!) We had one where a friend brought all these exotic teas, and we sampled them one by one. That was nice.

Nancy....I was just hinting to the Activity Director yesterday about having "high" tea as an event! Must be the season. We are planning one for about 6 ladies (hats required!!) I bought some tea Forte (those cute little silk tea infusers, etc.) And, I plan on bringing my blue and white english china. I have been surfing the net for appropriate high tea "fare" and have come up with some awesome recipes for scones (which I have made many times), lemon drop cookies, clotted cream and lemon curd. I can't wait!!

nancy, your blog is just so cute! It makes me happy :)

and I loooove tea parties. I didn't have the pleasure of really playing with tea sets until I moved out on my own. And when I got married, I made sure I bought a nice tiera for the wedding, just so I could wear it at my tea parties at home! Whenever I get a chance to have a friend or two over, I whip out the tea set, don my tiera and pearls and we set and chat. It's wonderful. I have tea parties for one often enough too, actually. And a few times I've forgotten to take off my tiera when I left my house!

My little girl is 15 mos now, but very soon we'll be having tea parties all the time! I'm excited!

Thanks for sharing!
