Ripped up some material and started a rag rug, so far so good, its laying flat so far so I'm hoping for the best.
Also got two more Susan Branch books used, really like her books. Its like someone writing you a long letter.

You have a natural knack for making rag rugs. Really. Because they curl so quick, only some folks are good at making them lay flat. Love yours! Even when I make my stitches as loose as I possibly can, it still curls......arggh.

your rag rug is beautiful! I tried to make a circular one, and it kept curling, so I undid it and gave up, for the moment. I am determined to do it though.

Making something with your hands is so theraputic, whether it be rugs, quilts, embroideries (check out crabapplehill.com), knitting, crocheting. Susan Branch has it all, too. These activities keep us conected. Happy crafting!

You gals are making me think I need to check out Susan Branch. Love your rug too Nancy Jo. One of these days I'm going to attempt one.

Thankyou Sharon. I hope Susan comes out with another book soon, I haven't heard anything about a new one yet.
