Finally, here they are. I still a few project yet to do, inside and out, but this is truly becoming 'home sweet home'!

Alee, anytime!

Thanks Elaine and Brooke, yep, I am very happy! The only thing I don't like is all I am having to do to get it up and running, furnace serviced, chimney sweep, duct cleaning... The DUct guy told me that I have ducts that are hanging on with a prayer and need to be replaced. Ahhh!

For tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, but keep me, guide me, love me, Lord just for today.

I had all my kids here this weekend. One of my SIL's said to me, 'By the way your house is very cozy.' Kudo's for him. That really warmed my heart. Hearing that let me know that I have succeeded. I want my home to be the kind that people feel they can take off their shoes, and curl up on the couch without asking.

I like both Wyandotte Cottage (my first choice!) or Turner Hill Cottage :) You could always call your etsy shop Wyandotte Mercantile or Wyandotte Studio.

I am leaning toward Turner Hill Cottage, but I am waiting till the right one hits me.

I didn't know there was a chicken called Wyandotte. Maybe that's the kind I should get next spring.

As for tea Shirely, anytime your in the neighborhood. I still have the poem you adapted from Sam Walter Foss, in my copy of MaryJane's first book, I love it. That was in 2005.

Thanks for the help girls, I will keep you posted.

Julia - I think this cottage was meant to be for you at this time. There was even a little girl named MaryJane! A sign of good things. Take your time and name it. You may get help from above, too. Pick the one that feels right, they are all good names. Turner Hill is really nice....it would be wonderful to have tea there!

Julia- I think it is awesome that you live on a street named after a chicken breed! :D

They are beautiful and they lay brown eggs too!!

I suggest either Wyandotte Cottage or Turner Hill Cottage. I like both of them! And the nickname could be "The Cottage"

What a beautiful home. I'm a little jealous cause I live in an apartment .

I think Angleside Cottage or Turner Hill Cottage are wonderful name's. But if you do open your etsy then the name Turner Hill would be perfect for both.

wish I could have you all for tea. A farmgirl tea party would be a nice way to christen it. Then you could help me pick a name for it. Hey, duh, you can do that part anyway.

Ok, My family tends to name our homes, so I need to decide on mine. Here are the names I considering.

Wyandotte Cottage ( street name)
Angleside Cottage ( what this area is called)
Turner Hill Cottage (I live on Turner Hill)( I hope soon to have an Esty account and was thinking of using the name Turner Hill Studio...)
Picket Cottage ( I have a picket fence)
The Cottage

What do ya think?

you girls are so sweet. I must confess that the colors of the room were already here. I didn't have to paint a thing. My daughter did repaint her room, I forgot to get a picture of her room, but the rest was here. All colors I would have chosen, kind of like God saved me the trouble and had the last owner have similar taste. It was nice to be able to just move in without the hassle of painting.

Thanks. The fun thing about my pink craftroom is, the little girl who occupied it was named, MaryJane. I thought it appropriate.
