I love Farm Girl Friendships....who better to have an inpromptu get together with,,,to go goof off for the day, even when you know you have laundry & dishes to wash....
The four of us became friends because of MJF forum. Otherwise we might not have ever met and we would have missed out on a terrific friendship.
Today the 4 us us met up for coffee then headed off to a quilt store, antique shop, lunch & thrift shop and all along the way our "vintage trailer" radars were working! lol! Yes we each have trailers, but hey, why stop at one! LOL!
We all had chores to do at home, but sometimes we women need to take a breather from being an adult and just go play and gab...and we did.
Take time to spend an afternoon with a girlfriend & just laugh
yourself silly.

Oh Julia in Shelton,
I wish Shelton wasn't so far away....but, distant "Sisters" can still sit w/a mug of java & have a chat via our 'puters.....who knows, once your house is all set up, you will be on the quest for the perfect lil vintage trailer & B-4 ya know it, you'll trailering along with us crazy trailer gals.
It was so nice to meet up w/you at the Farm Fair, our table may not have been as "rowdy" as the Klammeth Falls Chicks,,,who by the way are a Riot! but it was so nice to put faces with the names...and what a great idea, your autograph/scrap books.....

My closest Farm Girl friend is a state away. We did get to spend Farm Fair together which was great. I don't have anyone here yet, she is out there somewhere. You are right Grace, they are the best!

For tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, but keep me, guide me, love me, Lord just for today.

hugz & lavender scents to you all.....
My life truly is richer for the wonderful friendships I have made, both near & far.
So don't be shy, a farmgirl friendship might be down the road or at the cosmetic counter!
Amanda, Karen & Heather,,,I sooooo enjoyed our day together even tho you won't let me drive...LOL & wink wink!
Oh Rene'...hahaha! I just remembered,,,you too have experienced being a passenger in my car!lol!
Julia, yep, I am sure Doc thinks you have some kooky (me)friends! I would have stopped but I smelled like donkey & pony & dirt & weeds....not very pretty but a good hard day of work.
Sisters, Just remember, that next lady you meet just might be a Farmgirl or a BFF or both....
hugz to all of you thanx for being my BFF

YUp, I hear ya! I love it when my girls come for a visit. Or June just pops in to sit on the couch and talk about nothing for hours. I honestly don't know where I'd be without a few of you's!

It was indeed a good day and I most certainly treasure my newly aquainted farmgirls. It always feels so comfortable being with them, even when I hardly knew them. I just think that is the 'farmgirl connection". Thanks for always being there, ladies, and I mean all of you!

I enjoyed viewing your blog Grace. Nice to know there is so much talent and good will close to where I live. Went to Reardon Days years ago and did stop at "the Barn" to view the quilts. Wonderful day with great friends. Thanx for the pix and your friend's updates. Best, Sharon

Grace,
You KNOW that I feel the same.It seems like no matter where I go to hook up with farmgirls I instantly feel like family. How blessed are we? I would really encourage any of the farmgirls who havent yet joined or started a chapter to do so.. You will be so surprised at how much you have in common with women you may never have "met" had it not been for the farmgirl connection. I have discovered that farmgirls are EVERYWHERE. I walked into Macy's in the Mall in the near by town this week.. and a "dressed to the 9's" lady behind the make-up counter told me that her sister had just sent her my blog link... Now looking at this gal, I might have blown right past her thinking that we had little in common as she looked like she just walked away from a vogue photo shoot and me.... even after several hours of "putting on the dog".. still looks as if I just crawled out of a hard day... but.....there we were two farmgirls chatting about our farm dreams while sampling the newest "fu-fu" juice. WHo knew?

Gracie, I can hear your laugh in the wind pretty much constantly now. Doc mentioned that you called about poor Naked Ol' Henry!! I've been calling it the "Depression Look!" We have an electrician and a structural engineer coming over tomorrow so they can shore up the garage so we can rip off that dumb little room and make way for the addition to the house and porch. It is starting to kick into gear!!

3 cheers to you and this post!! ~julia
