I'm soooooo excited to tell you all....my fourth grandson on the way is really going to be a granddaughter!!!!!!! Woohoo! I've been calling people and emailing people and posting on facebook and everywhere. I can't stop jumping up and down inside! My mind is spinning with all the pretty little lacy, frilly things I want to make and/or buy. I'm going to have another little girl in the house. Well, on holidays, anyway. She'll be another farm girl in training!

My son and dil are soooo unprepared for this. All this time they thought they were having another boy and don't have one girlie thing in the house! Not even a name for her yet. Ooooh, I can post in the marketplace that I'm looking to buy baby girl stuff! Great idea!

I can understand inducing when there is a health risk. But just for convenience sake? Not so sure about that.

I figure it'll go one of two ways for her...she'll feel like a spoiled princess and get to celebrate her bd and Christmas separately (which this Grandma will make a point of doing) OR she'll end up with combination bd/Christmas gifts/parties.

That is the cutest picture, Julie. And thanks, all! DIL is supposed to be induced on December 17 unless she goes into labor sooner. I don't understand the inducing part since, she's not a high risk pregnancy or anything. I guess doctors nowadays don't like the surprise of childbirth and feel the need to schedule everything to a tee? Personally, I think they should wait until Nature decides it's time! But, it's not my call.

Fortunately, my doc didn't even mention inducing until I was a week late and my blood pressure sky high. Apparently, it's something that doc's do around the holidays because their patients request it. Go figure. December 17th is my niece, Ava's birthday...boy howdy does she get spoiled between her birthday and Christmas! Her little brother just doesn't understand it

Why that is simply wonderful! Being from a family of boys I too want to play in the pink! Ha! But I just got an adorable little grandson and could not be happier! When is the baby due?
Julie, that story is so cute, I can just picture the little farmgirls playing with their dolls in the barn!

Congratulations, Lisa!

Thank heaven for little girls! I had the most fun dressing our daughter and hope to have as much fun with future grandchildren. I still find it amazing what modern technology is capable of...to know the baby's gender before birth.

Children are such a blessing,

Congrats Lisa! As the grandma of three girls I can tell you your going to love it. When they come to the farm to visit
they put thier babies in the stroller and come to the garden or barn with me. Guess thats how you know they are future farm girls!!

With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.

YAY! Another little farmgirl! Their names are prettier, their clothes are frilly, they have dolls and girlie toys! And they can even play ball if they want to! Congrats, Lisa!

Thanks, all. Yeah, boys are great, but I already have 3, too, Teresa. I have so wanted to have a reason to oooh and awww over and buy the "frilly foofoo" stuff. Girls have so much more fun stuff than boys. My daughter hasn't been into foofoo since she was 5 and she's in college now!

I will let them know, Alee. They have some thinking and discussing to do!

Oh, I still have a bit of the same fabric left from when I made my dil an apron. I can make a matching baby apron! Well, toddler apron. Woohoo!
