Posted - Aug 24 2009 : 2:37:10 PM My Dad & I went to Alamogordo & Santa Fe back in '04. We both wanted to move back there,(alamogordo area) but it never happened. Recently, upon realising we're not really happy where we are now (the city has changed a lot & not for the better) I started inquiring if he'd still like to move back there. I swore we wouldn't be goin anywhere once he hit 70 (very healthy 70,thanks goodness!) but I know we're both putting up with a lot of noise, parties at all hours, etc. Neighbors have no respect for anyone, and that includes your car & property. So we're starting to look at listings again. If we do move,it wouldn't be for another year or two (he's got a lot of stuff he collected that would have to go) So we'll see!

Posted - Aug 25 2009 : 09:05:16 AM Right now in CA there's talk of saving the states $$$ by releasing over 20,000 inmates currently serving time. It's been halted for the moment, but I can't believe that the Governator is backing this crazy plan-they're in jail for a reason, after all. It would take a lot of habit changing & releasing of material things to do the move-my Dad is a collector & he's been at it for nearly 30 years.
