We just got back this week from a wonderful stay at Cannon Beach Oregon. We usually stay in Lincoln City at DH's uncle's place but we wanted a change this year so off to Cannon Beach we went. Weather was wonderful.

Here are a few snaps of the view we had -

Leslie -

Did you stay at Salishan there in Lincoln City? We do from time to time. There is a place not too far from there off the beaten path called Mossy Creek Pottery - great place to find handmade bowls, pitchers etc.

Hey Anne, we spent a week in Newport/Lincoln City this August too! Northern CA and OR were in a heat wave, and the weather at the coast was so perfect I never wanted to leave. We loved a little beach called Glenenden, so quiet and private and tons of agate. Your pics are beautiful!

Such great pictures. I love them. Is that "hay stack" in the photo? Such a fun place.

What lovely photos. It has been way too many years since I have seen the beaches of the west coast. They are so spectacular, so totally different from our rockbound coastline here in Maine. Thanks for sharing them,

Thanks for the beautiful pictures, I have not been there since a honeymoon in the mid 60's, it is still beautiful. I sure would love to stay there again. Thanks for the reminder.

It has become a tradition for us to go in August because usually the weather is so hot here in the city and the beach is the best place to beat the heat. Also it is always our "do absolutely nothing" vacation - where we sleep allot, read allot and walk on the beach. I look forward to it every year.
