Nope I don't mean the canned variety, I mean the nasty emails you get in your spambox! Just looking at the suggestive titles alone makes me sick Talking about "rods" etc. YUCK!!!!! (sorry gals)
I NEVER open them ofcourse, they go in my wastebasket and then I empty that straight away. But up to 20 or more times a day I get those
Is there NOTHING we can do about that? I know it is illegal here to send them (jailtime and very high fines), but ya know they come from all over the world so...

I delete them all. Wierdo email. I'll have to look into Gmail.

DUH! I too use Firefox AND gmail. MMMMMMM why do I get it, lol. Ah well like I said, somedays it is worse then others. And not NEARLY as much as i got with hotmail!!

That could also be it Winona. I started using FireFox and gmail at the same time. I really haven't had spam in years and years. I didn't get any with juno either, which I had before gmail. The only ones I get junk at is yahoo and aol. But, I stopped using them years and years ago.

Firefox now has private browsing. I'm in it right now and it's cut down to almost nothing the amount of spam I get. I think the spam I get is from before I started the private browsing and they just recycle my email addy. Even those are getting fewer and fewer. The thing though, is I have to enter my user name and password each time I open FF private browsing but it's worth it for me.
Another thing I read, don't send to junk mail, just delete. Somehow they can tell if you send to junk mail but can't if you delete. If you only delete, it doesn't show up as a used account but does if sent to junk.
When I run my AVG, now I NEVER get any adware or anything. Before I used private browsing, I got some really malicious stuff and now, I'm guessing since they can't see me, nothing is 'watching' me.

LOL I have Gmail. And I try not to give out that email, I have another hotmail addy I mostly give out online. But they still find ya ;( Ah well it is not as bad as it used to be. Just frustrated me yesterday :)

Try Gmail.com (it's free mail service by google). I changed over to them about 3 years ago and have not recieved junk mail since.
The other tip when filling out forms never give your email address unless you absolutely have to, unless you are sure they won't use it for spam, or sell it to spam.

Yup me too. Just the well known friends and family ones i read. But still I SO dislike getting the others in the mail. Guess it is the same all over.

I don't open anything like that I just click and delete. My inbox may say 17 but I may only open 2 or 3 of them, The ones from friends & family. I delete the rest un-opened.
