Well, I am finally moved into my new home. And of course it has to be the week we had record temps. Now I love a good sunny day. Here in the Pacific NW we are always thrilled to have the sun, but when temps get over 100?! We just don't know what to do. 80* is good for me. It was hot!!! We moved at 7-10 each morning on wednesday through friday. It got done and I am thrilled to be in my own little cottage.
It was an emotional week for my daughter and I as it was just the two of us this time. No hubby or daddy. The first night before bed we had a good cry together, then went to our rooms and cried some more. I think he would be pleased with the house and that I have the deed in hand, no house payments!

Most of the house is put in order, still have pictures to hang and my craft room to put together. Once I get everything done, I will get pictures as I promised I would. It is good to be home.

For tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, but keep me, guide me, love me, Lord just for today.

Spent the day yesterday getting my craft room organized. Well, at least getting things out of boxes. I kind of stuffed and piled, now I really need to get things in their proper places. It will be a busy week. My daughter's boyfriend is coming to visit this week. He has promised to help me with some big yard work, plus I told them we would do a day trip to Victoria, BC, and I will also have 2 nights of dinner guests. I don't know how much will get done inside this week. So, why am I still on the computer! Ahhh!

For tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, but keep me, guide me, love me, Lord just for today.

How very touching! I wish I had thought of that when my friend and her hubby moved into their new place last year.

Enjoy your new home. I've been in your shoes, and I know how it can be. Just take the time to enjoy it and learn as you go. You'll find that you are an old pro at taking care of things before you know it.

Love and hugs,

KayB

Thanks girls for the warm, kind words. It really boosts my spirit. I got frustrated tonight as I had to put up a new shower curtian, the kind that is curved a bit. It requires brackets, so out came the drill, screw driver, level... one of those things my Hubby would have done. There were a bunch of oopses, old house and all. But I got it done and as long as no small children swing from it, we should be okay!

For tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, but keep me, guide me, love me, Lord just for today.

Julia, I am so happy for you and your daughter to have a home of your own now. I am positive your husband is smiling down on you two and is so pleased you have started a new chapter in your lives. Make this little nest of yours your very own, and know that your husband will always be in your heart and soul, love never dies or leaves us, this I know for sure.

Blessing for you and your new home,
Mary Jane

I just read your blog also. It's so hard when a loved one passes over. My son and his bride to be have stars on there ceiling also. Justin has had them since he was a kid and so did Stephanie. It's nice to know they will always have the stars in common and they will always shine for each other. It sounds like you and your husband had many star filled nights and even in your new home he will be there watching over you, just like a the shining star he has been to you. Enjoy your new home your DH will want you to be happy and shine on.....

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

I'm happy to hear that you and your daughter are in your home. I believe those tears you both have shed are cleansing ones. Happy days to both of you.

Congrats on being out of the boxes! :D *hugs* I can't wait to see pictures of the cottage! From the real estate pic that you posted a while back- it is a beautiful home! I am sorry to hear it was emotional, my heart goes out to you! But at least you know you are doing something that your husband would be happy about- and congrats on no house payment! That is awesome!
