Since we started the "music we HATE" thread, maybe we should also talk about the music we LOVE???

as of right now....

I'm OBSESSED with INXS.... no, not the "new" INXS with J.D. Fortune - blah. the old stuff with Michael Hutchence, especially the old stuff that wasn't as popular, the stuff from the early '80's. I LOVE it!!!

and i just bought Darren Hayes (the lead singer from Savage Garden who went solo) first CD, since I had bought the latest two last year. LOVE it... pop is usually NOT my favorite, but he is definately my guilty pleasure. I tend to stay away from the "popular" music, so he is good because he's not popular here in the states...

Also, I finally finished my Collective Soul cd collection... they were my first "rock" band... finally went and saw them in concert in June for the first time!

But here is my list of all time favorite bands:

Dave Matthews Band
Sting
The Police
Chris Isaak
Queen
Frank Sinatra
Collective Soul
INXS

I listen to all kinds of music and love all kinds. At work I listen to a New Age music station, it's so relaxing and a stress reducer for me. I love the hard rock from the 70s too.

I have the TV on Seris (sp) radio. Listing to Willies place. Honky Tonk country and western. I love it when I know the words to the songs. And makes me want to dance. But my feet hurt cause I have been canning all morning so SITTING here resting (not dancing).

Love the Beatles,Wings,as well as most classic & progressive rock. Lately tho,I've been listening to a lot of medieval/Ren period music played on mandolin & guitar. Arlo Guthrie tunes have been playing in my head & I'm getting a hankering to start playing my blues CDS (Bessie Smith,Memphis Minnie,Lightnin Hopkins, and Sonny Terry. Going back to my acoustic roots,I think. I dig Booker T & the MGS too!

That sounds wonderful, Lisa. We were just in "mennonite" ville over the weekend when we went to Plain City with mom, Vi and Aunt Bernie. Lots of fun and LOTS of cheese

My husband bought (for his birthday) the Rhino Records box set of Motown and Stax, so we've been listening to quite a bit of that. It's the Whoooooole era, so it's pretty amazing! There's a LOT of songs you don't know about!

I've also been listening to the Beatles, Rubber Soul (it's great vacuuming music) and Violet likes "drive my car".

I'm also listening to the new Wilco album (wonderful) and my old standby, Ray LaMontagne.

LOL this is way nicer than the music you hate I started :)

I LOVE Elvis Presley ofcourse :) Always have, always will.
Also The BeeGees were my second love, music wise.

I now like other kinds of music too. Michael Bublé, Reba McIntire, and OH so many more. Can't think of any names, but will pop in now and again to add I am sure ;)

for some reason, i'm stuck on Dwight this week. odd, because he usualy isn't one of my favorites. i think the poetry in his lyrics are whats getting me right now.
