Posted - Aug 03 2009 : 1:56:00 PM Hey girls, don't know if this is something you would be interested in helping or no, but I always make a donation to the K-9 War Dog Memorial foundation on Jus's birthday, and this year the founder emailed me that they are in need of donations for K-9/human handler care packages for Iraq and Afghanistan. You can either make a check donation, or send the items. I am sending a check but will probably send some dog stuff. It's a great organization, and these dogs and their handlers do dangerous jobs. A little dog cookies and some beef jerkey go a long way to bring a cold nose and a smile.

Posted - Aug 04 2009 : 06:03:04 AM Yes, Tina, they sure do. The first link I gave has a list of both items for the canines, and then a separate list for their handlers. It's a very similar list (for the humans) as any other military "wish list"--dried foods, socks, etc...
I really love the cause--I always feel privileged to give to them. I'm sure they will very much appreciate your interest!
