Hey girls, don't know if this is something you would be interested in helping or no, but I always make a donation to the K-9 War Dog Memorial foundation on Jus's birthday, and this year the founder emailed me that they are in need of donations for K-9/human handler care packages for Iraq and Afghanistan. You can either make a check donation, or send the items. I am sending a check but will probably send some dog stuff. It's a great organization, and these dogs and their handlers do dangerous jobs. A little dog cookies and some beef jerkey go a long way to bring a cold nose and a smile.

What a great idea! I love it. I'm going to discuss it with the hubby and look at perhaps getting some care packages together for the dogs and their handlers for the Holidays.

Yes, Tina, they sure do. The first link I gave has a list of both items for the canines, and then a separate list for their handlers. It's a very similar list (for the humans) as any other military "wish list"--dried foods, socks, etc...

I really love the cause--I always feel privileged to give to them. I'm sure they will very much appreciate your interest!

Jonni,
Do they need things for dogs and their owners? This is something I am interested in.
