Today, I put together a little gift basket for a friend who was moving to a new apartment. Early this week, I made homemade laundry detergent, so I packaged some up in a cute little container and put this label on it:

The basket also included a bottle of vinegar and a cute little handmade card with the instructions on it, along with some flour sack kitchen towels and an apron. I only wish I had taken the time to take a picture! I was so excited to get it to her that I just plum forgot! LOL!

Thank you for the inspiration! My friend was in tears when she opened the basket, everything in it reminded her of growing up on her grandma's farm. Giving a little sunshine to someone else sure did make my day!

Hi Cheryl! I use DIP for now. I have PSP, but haven't mastered it yet, so I don't use it often. I need to get over that since MS has done away with DIP and it isn't compatible with the new Windows OS. I have tons of Fonts too. I'm definitely a junkie to all things graphics. I am even learning to create my own with Real Draw Pro and I'm loving it!

Hi Sue and what a lovely gift and love your label too! I'm a graphics junkie too and a paint shop pro addict. I use the tubes and brushes to make all kinds of things. I've downloaded tons of fonts to my windows folder so I can access them using psp when I'm in creative mode. What program do you use for your graphics?

I think thats a cute idea. Something i have done is make a few things and put them in a clothes basket for a baby shower gift. Its practical gift wrapping!

Sunshine Mountain is the business my daughter and I are opening. I designed the label using 4 separate graphics and a text box using the Good Vibrations font. I don't know if that helps anyone, but I am happy to share how I do things. That's how I've learned 90% of what I know, through the generosity of others sharing.

Oh and thank you all for the nice comments. It was all of you who gave me the gift of wanting to share my new found passion. You've got me baking and cleaning and making stuff that I haven't ever tried before. You've renewed my love of life, which is a miracle in itself. Someday, I'll have to tell you about the road I've traveled for the past 10 years. All I can say is that it was well worth the trials and tribulations to now find myself in the company of and blessed by all that you farmgirls share. What a blessing each and everyone of you are.

Marjean, that is actually a compilation of graphics that I purchased at www.pccrafter.com . Be prepared to get totally hooked! They have some amazing stuff over there. I should know, I've been a member of their graphics club for more than 7 years and have collected over 5 gigs of graphics to prove it!

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. I will be happy to help you. If I don't know the answer, I'm sure one of my friends will.
