Who plays? I already have some farmgirls as neighbors, so I'm wondering...

Do you find it somewhat disturbing to find "farmers" you don't know on your farm at times when you return to it? I just went back to my farm after tending a neighbor's tornado blown leaves and there were like, 4 little farmers at my farm, and I knew not ONE of them!!! It's not like MY little farmgal can say to them "hey, get the heck off my property!!!" I don't mind folks I know stopping by to help water and feed the animals and plants, but just any folks?

Thanks to you girls I have spent the better part of today checking on my farms. I started both farm games. Farmville and Farmtown. It is a great way to waste time and today was one of those days that was just what I needed to do.

Hi Sue -
Hello Secret Sister leader :-) Send a friend request to me...Karen Spradling Galindo. I did not even know farmtown was around until reading about it here so my farm is smaller than a farmette but I am working on the harvest. Hope things are better in your corner of the world. See you on the farm -
Karen

haha Jonni, I agree about MySpace. Most all the people I know use Facebook now, MySpace just became too cluttered and trashy.

I'm Stacy Acuff Stipes if anybody wants to friend me or add me as a neighbor on Farmville or Farmtown. :)

Karen, I'll be a neighbor! I'll try to seek you out on FB. I know what you mean, though, it's very strange to have the "friend suggestions"...some people that I "know" through other people, I don't WANT to be friends with, virtually or otherwise! I went to an international boarding school, and my friends are flung out on every continent, so it's nice to have that immediate connection to people--that was the main reason I did FB, but also because Myspace got REALLY creepy. Makes me feel like I'm walking into a seedy bar when I visit there, now!

I got an invite to FarmVille and tried to go there, but the stupid computer locked up, so I haven't been able to check it out. How do you get to one of these places after logging into FB?

I was very confused and a tad bit apprehensive about getting in over my head. A month later and still a bit confused and unsure of things but enjoying the "friends" from my past connections and a few new ones. I am playing mafia wars, street racing and farmville. I started them all to play with my 13 year old nephew but am enjoying it a bit for my own sake as well...don't tell him. I would love to have neighbors on the farm as the nephew is the only one so far. Today I raked his leaves (he is at scout camp this week) for him and made 6 coins...sweet :-). I think it would be strange to have actual strangers tending to my farm but then my one lone cow might not mind the company. I am Karen Spradling Galindo on facebook if you want to be friends and farmville mates. Have a good one - Karen

I am totally confused by Facebook, I am afraid of what I am agreeing to when I click... Does anyone else feel the same way?

I have Farmtown and Farmville, but I definitely like Farmville better. It's prettier. ;)

I have a farmtown somehow on facebook, but since I spend so much time doing real live farm work, I don't have time to check it out much. I wonder...how to get some of those unknown workers here?? The barn needs cleaning out, and the chicken house too! I could use at least 8 known or unknown "helpers". Just about to go start filling drinkers and feeders now. If they hurry, they can work and I'll give them each a newly hatch baby chick from the incubator.

ha ha i do play it, i'm actually new to it. My crops are here and there and nothing is organized. My bf who is a full time farmer told me i would be fired if i were a read farmer because i was so much land. He said i would make a better farmers wife, than just a farmer.

I stick with the basic myFarm. The others remind me too much of that Sims game, which I just don't have the patience for. myFarm is quick and easy, I only need to tend it once a day and I don't have to worry about anyone popping in for a visit. lol
The others are cuter but I'm just too lazy, I guess.

Well, I've been invited to play Farmville, but darn it, I have enough trouble keeping up with farmtown! Maybe Farmville would be the better way to go, but I agree with Brenda...there sure are a lot of lost cows in Farmville!!!

I have also had a visitor while I was there. Kind of weird so I just xed out quick. the effort was appreciated tho.

I tried the farmville and found it too cartoonish.

1 at a time please

I play FarmVille but have played FarmTown too. I like FarmVille much better - it's easier for me.

What's the difference between farmtown and farmville? I've seen people I know playing Farmville... there seem to be a lot of lost cows wandering around....

I play it daily because I think it's the only farm I will ever have. I just help with my friends' farms. You can earn coins doing that, so I think that's why others do it. I've never gone to a stranger's farm, though. And I love sending gifts. But about 80% of the time, the stupid thing locks up on me when I'm playing. But then, I just do it for fun.

I'm KayB on FB and Farmtown. I just wish I could get all my trees to the point where I could harvest them all at once. Darn it! I think I have a figured out, but I'm not sure.

I can't even get on my farm right now and can't figure it out! It's driving me crazy! But ya'll can ignore those lookie-lou's who show up. Just click on them and a drop down will pop up with a list of what you want to do. That's what I do.

I used to, but it got to be a bit ridiculous in the amount of time it took to "tend" my farm, so I stopped. And I do agree about it being weird when other people just show up. It always seemed like if I went to the marketplace to sell my harvest, 3 or 4 people would suddenly be back at my farm with me. Odd.

I hear ya, Annika...and thanks for letting me know who you are on FB! I will send you a "friend request" :)

I don't have a great deal of time, so I've figured out how manage my crops so that they fit into the workdays when I'm near a computer--after that, home and baby? Forget it! The first few weeks, boy HOWDY did my food supply die!

I was playing it for a bit, but gave up due to lack of time in real life *sigh* and yeah, there is this one woman who always tends my farm and I don't know her at all! so it is a bit strange...
BTW I'm Annika Laurea-Wood on FB =)
