Posted a picture of what I think is going to be a really good book. I started it yesterday. Its about 450 pages and has pictures of the people and the places they lived, so you can put a face to them. Its about a well to do South Carolina Family during the Civil War.

Yes Melody June I have read all the Beulah land books and saw the series on TV A FEW YEARS AGO. Wasn't that good?

I love these kind of books. As a quilter I really love the stories written of the women of long ago and the quilts they made. Have you ever read Lonnie Coleman's books on Beulah Land? It is a rich cotton plantation in Georgia in the 1800's. I have read the three books about 4 times each. LOL The author really takes you away to another time.
