Finally, after a month of NO rain, it rained last night. ALL night. The rain gage said 4 inches. I hate to complain but sure wish we could have had 1 inch per week the last 4 weeks. OK, I'll take the 4 inches. May be all we get for another long time. I have been watering everyday, all day. But watering just isn't the same as rain. We had some wind but no hail and the gardens are looking good this morning.

Thanks for sending it our way, Belle. Where I'm at, we got some of the rain and none of the bad stuff. My DD lives in Hope and got a text message that it was bad and the sirens were going off (she's in Wyoming on National Guard training). Love the rain!!

It's still raining! I think it started over a nonth ago and has only stopped a few times a lot of gardens are turning yellow. I think we need to run a pipe from coast to coast if it rains to much we just send it into the pipe and who ever needs it can have as much as they want. Snow too.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Up in PA we've had rain all summer. Usually by now its up in the 90's. Were lucky to get a day with no rain and it get above 80. It rained for so long a few weeks ago, my boyfriend had to replant ALL the corn fields.

Aww Alee, you said the magic word, FALL. Not quite ready but will be in a few more weeks. Gotta get some maters canned before I start thinking about fall. Will for sure be ready for it when it gets here. At least 2 more months.

That is great, Belle! It has been wetter here than it has been in ages. Usually the river is a good 3-4 feet lower by now, but the last couple of days have been scorchers and I am missing the afternoon rain showers that cool things off so nicely!

However, I have notices the nights are getting cold again! We have turned that magical corner I guess and fall is going to slowly be creeping our way again.

Send some our way, Belle! It keeps missing us here. It's been nice and cool the last several days but today is pretty warm and everything's wilting. Even after a good watering last night. I am so glad ya'll got rain.

Julie, I think that is our storm from last night. A real soaker. Lots of rain in that one. Hope you don't get too much wind and NO hail.

Belle: I know that feeling! We've been dry for way too long. Right now, it's pouring and storming in Shreveport, and I'm just praying that it's doing the same down on the Plantation (about an hour southeast of here!) Otherwise, it means another two days of hauling water to the garden!

I wish you all would blow the rain over this way! For a week now they've been predicting rain, and for a week now we've been sitting under ugly gray skies BUT NO RAIN!

Glad you got a good soaking, finally. We have clouds and rain all around us, but not much here yet. I'm going outside to do the rain dance.
