This Saturday, the Klesick Family Farm is opening up the farm for the Cherry-Berry Festival and Farm Days. In previous years we have hosted a fall event called Harvest Jubilee, but this year we wanted to add a summer vanue and focus on all the wonderful fresh fruit that this time of year has to offer. We will have available lots of sweet red and rainier cherries, blueberries and raspberries and maybe be there will be a few Strawberries on hand. All produce will be available individually or by case/flat. Of course we will have a variety of veggies from our farm and other farms for sale. White Picket Farms will be here with their beautiful perennials and a local beekeeper will have honey available.
The day will be jam-packed with events and farm education. We will have a live farm demonstration and the draft horses will be pulling a hay wagon around. Lots of games for the little ones too.
The day is designed to build farm memories and introduce our community of customers to farming and give you a chance to see first hand over 100 years of farming history.
Don't be bashful--we are so excited to shar--so bring your family and friends. Feel free to bring a sack lunch and spend the whole day!!
This is the CSA box of yummies I received from KFF just today.
Bing Cherries, , Leaf lettuce, Bok Choy (with recipes) Cucumber, 3 sunburst squash and snow peas--all locally grown. Also some Black Splender Plums and red grapes from another organic farm in Ca.

Mindboggling to think that all that beautiful produce started from tiny little seeds....What a colorful picture! What a blessing good food is....enjoy!
