Posted - Jul 07 2009 : 10:28:31 AM I try to keep flowers on my kitchen table all summer long. Anyone else do this? It just makes me feel good, and with a doily and a vase of flowers, it looks good! Right now my roses are blooming like crazy, along with my baby's breath. A perfect combination.

Posted - Jul 09 2009 : 07:24:20 AM Beautiful Mary Beth! I love the combination :)
I used to be a Floral designer so I LOVE having fresh flowers in my home. Anything from herbs and wildflowers on the kitchen table to tiny pitchers filled with violets in the bath or a single wild rose in a mason jar :) I love bringing the outdoors in :)

Posted - Jul 08 2009 : 5:56:36 PM I love flowers in the house too. Not too many this year as I have been rearranging gardens outside. Spent a time at my Daughters in Eastern Washington and she and her MIL have beautiful gardens and my Daughter always has flowers in the house. Here is a bouquet she cut while I was ther and put in her bathroom. There are Shasta Daisy, Astilbe, Coral Bells and Hosta leaves. Neat huh? MB

Posted - Jul 07 2009 : 12:30:02 PM Yep, hubby loves to cut flowers and bring them in. Right now, we have a big white pitcher filled with white daisies....which we put on a navy tablecloth for the 4th.

Posted - Jul 07 2009 : 12:19:15 PM Me, too, Michele. I love them. I stopped awhile ago on the way home to get some black-eyed-susans and queen anne's lace off the side of the road but they looked too dry. I had some a few weeks ago that I just threw out. They last forever. It does make a house look pretty and clean when there are some flowers around.
