Finally got around to adding pics to this thread.

Just some of the Beautiful Quilts for Sale!

My plunder (I had a budget...sure wish I didn't!!!) The rugs are made by a lady from Bowling Green, I think, and the penny candy box is going to be for dog biscuits (thanks, Miss Bee Haven for the idea!)

The best babysitter EVER

Uncle Richard...he was always reading this little paperback. Never got the title, and he didn't know I took this, but I like it.

Miss Wilma's lily bed. Everything she puts in the ground grows mammoth sized. Good dirt!

Sterl's cows

Bonnie Blue Bell--my heart when I can't be near my pups!

Miss Wilma's tent on Friday...on Saturday there was even MORE stuff, but as I understand it, less by the end of the day

Miss Wilma holding up "little" Brian August...if she doesn't have muscles like Popeye by now, I just don't know why!!!

Miss Wilma, I just wanted to thank you for opening your home to Violet and I this weekend during the Orchard Sale. It was just the cure for what ail(ed) me. Nothing is better for the soul than wonderful friends, wonderful food and beautiful surroundings. Buying a few cool things for the house didn't hurt, either

It was so good to see Janice and David (Miss BeeHaven and Mr. BeeHaven)and Laura (82Kygal)and her son, in from Washington. And Miss Wilma's family never makes you feel like a stranger...I miss Uncle Richard!

Violet was such a good baby, and had such fun with Brian August...and even with all the carrying around, she was still the same old Vi when we returned home--she didn't expect us to be NEARLY as attentive as Brie!!! Actually, after I got home Saturday afternoon, I whipped up some bbq'd baked beans and butter beans, and we went to a friend's house for the 4th (um, it rained the WHOLE time)and then on Sunday, mom and I took Vi to the Lawrenceburg Antique Show and saw Tommy and Cheryl. They asked of you, Miss Wilma, of course, and they were happy to hear that the Orchard sale had plenty of traffic! Really nice antique show, Lawrenceburg, and Mom got a really cool old grater from Tommy and Cheryl's booth.

I will post pictures to this thread tomorrow after I get them uploaded to the computer. I did alot, but that was one thing I couldn't manage to get done!!!

Those chairs are actually the cutest glider. There is a matching separate chair that goes with that set. We all enjoyed sitting in them under the tree(nice breeze there, too.). I tried to talk Wilma out of selling them and just keeping a nice place to relax herself. But she just won't listen to me. :( Trying to stop Wilma is like trying to stop a tornado.

No, but they were for sale (as I realized in my pic)...I just thought my super-cool rugs and candy bin looked great with the yellow :)...besides, with the baby, they wouldn't have fit in the Civic, though I am sure that they wouldn't have minded if I left Violet and came back for her :)

Did you get those cool yellow chairs in the pic too??
Those quilts are calling my name too.
FebruaryViolet Posted - Jul 08 2009 : 12:09:14 PM
Lisa, can't wait until the Autumn...Miss Wilma's never fails to rejuvinate me. I'd had a pretty crappy month and I'm back at it now!

Bree was the best baby sitter, I'm telling you. She was just all over the place with Violet, and Violet couldn't have been happier.

Thanks for peeking in, Sheila ;)

Oh Jonni
Those pics make me feel automatically relaxed. I SO need a good vacation. This work schedule & studying for my upcoming(next Weds) test are really taking a toll.
Miss Wilma's looks warm & welcoming as usual., & that is so funny about Brie(Bree?)
I miss you guys & am hoping, if, by the grace of God, I pass this test next week(30% pass rate, not so good), I will finally have some down time.
I sure could have used a dose of Knob Lick!

Thanks, Alee...it was sure fun, and sorely needed by this gal!

Hi Karin!!! It rained a bit on Saturday after I left, I think...and boy howdy did it rain (all the way from the time I left, to long after I returned home, 3 hours north)..I think Violet and I brought it with us!

I hear you about the rain and the garden, though. My potatoes are very delayed in growth...who knows if they'll do anything at all. On the weirder front, I have early tomatoes...sauce types, without much heat or hot nights. Who knows????

Why don't you come in the Autumn? Kentucky could sure use a happy dose of New England!

Wonderful pictures, what a lovely array of people, things, gardens and of course, best of all, the babies! And it looks like it wasn't even raining....here we are slowly molding over, my garden is just a slug buffet at this point, we are all starting to go insane here...I don't dare to look in my cellar, much more fun to cruise the pictures on line....and dream of sunshine.

Darn it, Kris! You know....there's a group of gals comin' up from Georgia in the Autumn, for Miss Wilma's autumn gathering. It will be equally as wonderful with music, and food and shopping and crafting...how's about that?

It's usually around the second week of October, but we should be getting more concrete details shortly.

Can you believe Violet will be 5 months old in a week? Scary! Already planning for her 5 month picture (in a vintage blue dress in her antique swan rocker)...

I sure wish I had known about this. I was all alone all weekend and would have driven up there for this. What beautiful pictures, Jonni. Little Violet is growing like Miss Wilma's lillies! How cute.

I'm glad ya'll had such a good time. Sounds like Miss Wilma did well. And the weather was nice, too. In one picture there is a huge basket sitting on top os a blue tote. That thing is huge. I put put tons of beans in that thing!

I second the thank you Miss Wilma! As always so great to see you. Drew had a great time catching pictures of all your hummingbirds in your herb garden. I enjoyed meeting all your friends and especially your Momma what a sweet lady but that is just a given since she's yourshope to get together with you and Joy soon.
Love ya!!!

Thanks, Janice...that's such a lovely compliment. She truly is a very good girl! And she really enjoyed herself at Wilma's. She even rocked in the rocking chair with Uncle Richard!

Let Wilma and I know when you want us to come to the farm and help out!

Wilma - I'm so glad the sale was great for the rest of the weekend. We had bad weather both here and at the farm, and we worried you got rained out, too. David and I had a great time. We always do. Your daylilies and your herb garden look like pics in a gardening magazine.

Jonni - Everybody said that Violet was the best baby they'd ever been around. And everybody wasn't kidding! She is fantastic!

Wilma - Maybe we can come back in a couple of weeks and haul some more daylilies your way. I go back this Thursday for more drywall adventures and I'm off again next week so they can get it all done. I'll be weeding, digging, sweeping, and anything else I can get myself into. ;)

Absolutely, Tammy...Miss Wilma will be gearing up for the Autumn gathering, so make sure to leave some space on your calendar for October!!! I'm sure details will follow soon enough, because believe it or not, Summer is halfway over!!!

Hope you had a great time in Gatlinburg, though!

Miss Wilma, I just can't imagine where they'd be (glasses)...I'm thinking they might have even made it under the couch or something in the living room. They spent quite a bit of time there, with the diaper bag :)
