My fiance and I went hiking a couple of weeks ago. Poor guy wasn't thrilled with the heat and bugs. Me on the other hand I don't know if i was just so happy to be out in nature again (my old bestfriend and i used to do this about ever 6 weeks and i havent had a chance to really inthe last six years) or if I have successfully adapted to the heat and humidity so much that it didn't bother me. Either way i was in heaven!!
I got my camalbak backpack in the mail today. Found on for almost 60% LESS than anywhere else. Kicking myself for not getting the bigger one. I will down the road though.
We went to Congaree National Park in Columbia SC. They told us that dreamworks filmed there for refrence for Shreks swamp. It was amazing. Yeah im getting redundent.
Anyone else enjoy hiking? My fiance doesn't want to go again until the fall when the weather is a bit more agreeable so i would love to hear some stories.

yeah the heat index when we went was 107 or so and around 90% humidity. Luckly the whole trail was shaded. Ofcourse the mosquitos were horrible everytime i stopped to take a pic.

I like that kind of thing but only when it's cooler! But you have to know, anyone would just die of heat stroke if they tried it right now here. lol.
