In the summer I do anything that requires heat early in the morning. So I baked up some muffins. Love adding things to my pictures that I have received from the farm girls. Its been three years and I'm still amazed when something comes in the mail from girls I have never met.

Amen Laurie...it's hot in Texas. I haven't done much baking recently, but am feeling a little guilty about it. I like it best when I bake our bread without all of the additives.

Since it's sooo hot here in Texas during the summer I like to do my baking early in the day to. It sure makes the house smell wonderful.

I have an Aunt in South Carolina who has a summer kitchen no air conditioner. I guess summer kitchens are almost a thing of the past.

I have a summer/canning kitchen, that is seperate from the house, otherwise I would be up all night doing cooking/baking etc, cause I live in the high desert, and it gets to 115 degrees here. There are trees all around and an a/c unit in the window, the house only has a swamp cooler and fans.

We don't have central air either. We have three ceiling fans in the house and all the windows opened.

Nancy Jo- That is a good idea to get the hot stuff done early, we don't have air conditioning so I am trying to avoid anything that has to do with cooking for a while :D
