good morning farmgirls .. don't know if we have a 'special' place to all come to say 'thank you' for deeds done and gifts received .. but .. i just wanted to say a buncha' thank you's for darling treasures i have received over the last few days.

i received my valentine swap from bridge ... got the yummiest smelling candle in a dear little glass votive jar (which arrived as honey hunk and i were headed on our romantic valentine's weekend at a lodge here in kentucky ... soooooooo ... i took it and burned it all night in our room ... some of that great wool roving dolly hair (headed for a dolly haid, of course!) .. a precious stitched heart (which hangs in my 'studio' already) and one of my most favorte flowers .. poppies .. red poppy seeds! thank you miz Bridge!

also got a surprize 'mail art' card from that sweet lori j .. it's adorable .. and i have it on my fridge! thanks gurlfren!

junebug sent me a 'sunflower calendar' ... now chile' ... that was so sweet of you ... you musta' read that sunflowers are my mos' favorite! (poppies, i think would indeed be in the top three!) thanks junie-bug!

'nuther big 'thank you' to sweet julia v. for the ADORABLE pincushion make-do .. it's so cute. an olde wooden spool (a big-gun) with yummy yellow thread on it .. and three little buttons down the side of it .. and topped with one of my fav colors: RED flowry print fabric (for stickin' pins and needles into .. gonna' use it for my 'needles' .. cuz' they are always gettin' lost amongst the pins! and with a little band of rick-rack. thank you sooooooooo much julia! xoxo

As I said before, your heart is warmer than any cup of tea we could ever share. Special angels like you Frannie, don't come along very often. You inspired me to get back to sewing something and being creative again after five years and two car accidents. So for that I thank YOU, you were just what I needed. I admire your creativity and love your sense of humor. Wrap both arms around yourself and give yourself a big warm hug from me.

will still post those yummy fabrics .. but i 'happened by' a most wonderful vintage nightie that sweet FABULOUS farm femme diane sent to me to CUT UP! not!!! had a little rip under the arm .. but i gave it a little patchin' .. and it will hang proudly in 'the stranger room' here at the cabin! thank you dearheart for the wonderful treasures!!


i do believe this gown is victorian era!

Your very Welcome missum Frannie!! I made the candle and the scent was maple sugar!!

I had the dolly hair in my stash and I knew you would put it to GOOD use!!
