I have to tell you, being a member of both MaryJanes Farm & Sisters on the Fly has been such a wonderful growing experience.
Both MJF & SOTF share very common threads.
The love of outdoors,
Creativity
Friendship
Emotional Support.
When I am on line or out Junktiquing with my MJF sister gal pals, I grow to be a better person, I laugh, I hug and sometimes I even cry.
With my sister gal pals at SOTF I have the same experience.
My love for out doors be it gardening, driving the tractor around the property, fishing or hanging out by a crisp campfire is so very thereputic.
The creativity is in challenging myself to sew, crochet, scrapbook, or even make breaddough ornaments. What ever I do, I always have a "sister" to go to for help with a project or to give me inspiration.
Friendship....we all need it and whether I see my "sisters" on a daily basis, occassionally or yack via email, my plate is full and I so appreciate them.
The emotional support I get is beyound words, but the best part is my "sisters" always have a hug waiting for me, a word of encouragement and a silly joke to make me laugh.
I can only hope that I am half as good a friend as all my MJF & SOTF sisters as they-you are to me.

Hugz, hugz & more hugz,,,,,Sisters ROCK!

Karen, you silly goose, you and your 4-legged side kick amaze me with your talents & now you have taken on a trailer restoration.... You Go Girl!

Michele, come on, set your car stereo to Willie Nelson's "On the Road Agin" and scoot on over this way....

Dear MaryJane, you truly are the "Elmers" that bonds us together....it is through the common 'thread' of friendship, love of earth & garden, creative arts and your support of women in all we do that helps us to grow & blossom.
I am so happy that you had a lovely time with us and yes, wasn't Carol's trailer w/faux fireplace the best!
The "sisters" just think your are the "cats meow" & so do I....

When in doubt...ask a FARMGIRL!

I love to read about everything that everyone is doing and how they are feeling about things I used to think that only I thought of or did....Thank you Mary Jane for providing us a place to come home to!

Yes, a big farmgirl hug and thanks to Mary Jane for all she has done!!! I too so appreciate the fact that at a turn I can connect with a 'sister' about any topic and feel blessed in return. I basically became a hermitress in the last few years and MJ's has made me blossom....connections from all over have brought me out of my shell. I feel loved and comforted by my new 'sisters'. Thank you one and all and especially you Grace for her smiles and laughter!

I so agree, too. I am always lifted up and ready to face the day after I've checked in here. So many wonderful uplifting farmgirl friends here. I feel like I have made several new friends here and look forward to meeting some face to face soon. I never would have thought that when I finally broke down and bought this contraption that it would be so fun (and addictive, too!).

So thank you all and especially Mary Jane for starting this.

I’ll second that EMPHATICALLY!!! It’s a dream come true for me to see and be a part of women who gather. I arrived in the dark (teardrop in tow) to meet the women-who-gather-on-the-river (Sisters on the Fly), driving past trailers that I could barely wait until morning to see in better light. (There was one other teardrop there pulled by a VW bug.) I also arrived tired (another magazine off to the printer), so I slumbered deep and long for two days in my little trailer--lots of naps. The second evening, as I was wandering from trailer to trailer, I came across one with a big comfy easy chair that had a darling little faux fireplace going, so I asked the sister if I could take another little snooze in her special chair. I awoke to the happy sound of women laughing and sharing food (chili feed that night). It was one of those moments when all is right in the world.

And Grace, you are SUCH a good connector, and always “there” with a ready laugh/smile/hug. I adore you and cherish your strong sense for the WHY of it all.
Much, much love and THANKS!

Grace I can't agree with you more. it's so nice to see a group of women with often diverse views that can be so encouraging, supportive, comforting and genuinely uplifting for each other. It's like a port of light in an often stormy world. I find it such a brite spot - a hopeful place in a world that sometimes makes so little sense and has lost such a sense of who we are a lot of the time. Everyone involved helps to lift us all and we in turn spread that around to other people in our lives. It is amazing how something like this can effect real change in the lives of so many.
