Posted - Jun 04 2009 : 9:17:08 PM I know the theme is 1920's, but I look wide as the Mississippi in a drop waist dress, so I am opting for a country old fashioned look in my own way ... High waist, I don't look like a bus etc! Can't wait to meet all of my sisters! do you have a special costume? are you going in 20's style? let's hear it! I can't wait! we need to start an official countdown 'til farmfair!

Posted - Jun 15 2009 : 7:07:47 PM Thank you for the pics on the 20's MJ. These have not been real easy for me to find, but I do think I have the perfect dress that will work with a little altering. Can't wait. I'm beginning to pack already. See you all there.

Posted - Jun 15 2009 : 10:38:43 AM You have the COOLEST STUFF MJ!
I think I will bring my pics of a magazine I found in WV, dated 1918 of boudouir fashion.... um...no. I am not wearing anything of that sort to farm fair... I don't want to scare anyone off!
I think I have an apron close to a couple of those pics... but that will mean, deleting something from my ALREADY PACKED suitcase! HA!HA!

Posted - Jun 15 2009 : 10:32:21 AM Those styles sure were made for "skinny minnies" weren't they? I really like the one on the 33rd Anniversary Style Book.

Posted - Jun 09 2009 : 10:29:05 AM Of course blue jeans and t-shirts are fine, but for those of you who want to style it up a bit, here are some fun ideas straight from the 1920s. Enjoy!

Posted - Jun 08 2009 : 2:35:44 PM what to wear, what to wear,,,,hmmmm, me thinks a simple farm dress & apron (after all, there were farm girls in the '20's)and of course my giddy-up boots....but if I have time I just might try to stitch something up 1920's style...as for the hair, Rene your hair cute & color is adorable!

Posted - Jun 06 2009 : 7:14:17 PM This gorgeous pattern has been in my 'want to sew' stack for quite some time... very 20's. If I were going I would certainly make and wear this!
It has full pallazo pants and a feminine cape over the shoulders

Posted - Jun 06 2009 : 2:09:24 PM I think I will go in my black fringe flapper dress for the Friday night event, but I will dress comfortably for the long drive the next day. I don't want to feel sticky/sweaty in a little dress lol!

Posted - Jun 05 2009 : 09:05:04 AM I am going comfortable and that will depend on the heat how stripped down I get! Ha! Like I would strip down any way shape or form with this body! ;D I am going to have fun no matter what I wear. Can't wait to meet the farmgirls! P. S. I have been wondering if we would have some sort of name tag with our call names and real names...anyone know. Or should we try and make something?

Posted - Jun 05 2009 : 08:52:46 AM I will be wearing a mixture of jeans and t-shirts and cotton skirts. I don't look the greatest in 1920's either- Unless I get to cross dress and wear a pin stripe suit! LOL

Posted - Jun 05 2009 : 08:50:56 AM I'm totally stressing about this - I think I'm just going to wear what I'm comfortable in - a cotton skirt and T-shirt. I'd love to wear one of the 20s dresses, but I'm like you Annika - every pattern I find for the 20s is dropped waist and I can't wear those. Maybe, I'll make a cotton housedress from a later era - 50s or so, if I get time.
