Brooke,
I just saw the other post you wrote. We would love to have to come out and visit. We aren't that far from Houston. You know a hop, skip and a jump. Ha! Just give me a holler when you would like to come and visit.

Yes, I had a straight egyptian horse (or rather my family did) - It has been some time now and can't remember everything on her blood line but Raffles comes to mind. We visited the arabian horse museum in Colorado and she was a direct descendent. My mind is sketchy right now, had a looong day. lol. Her name was Jalissa. (Ha-Lissa). I won several ribbons with her. She was my mom's baby.

My own horse was Hadji Amir. He was GORGEOUS! He won a show at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. That was before I had him.

We had 3 other horses as well, they were quarter horses of good stock.
This was all about 15 years ago. Sigh!!

I am about to get back into the horses, I had to stop but I never stopped loving them!!!

Your Mon Amir is just beautiful. I had responded to another posting of yours. Absolutely loved your site.. !!

My DH just went out to check on him and give him another feeding. I am sure he doesn't know what to think about all the food and attention he has been getting. He probably thinks he died and went to Heaven.

Wow, we have been so busy here at the farm. Mon Amir has settled in just fine. I think he likes it here. He likes to flirt with the girls
but the girls aren't sure about him. When we first got him home the girls and their babies took off running to the other end of the pasture and never came back over. It was really funny.
Amir in arabic means Prince.
I had a wonderful email from the lady that bred him and she is very excited about us having him. I think that this was a great move for my farm as we have already met some new people and another woman is wanting to get in contact with me about him because of his heirloom bloodlines.
Lilwing, did you have a arabian also? Tell me more!!!
Thanks Farmgirls on the wonderful comments. I sure will post pictures.

Doesn't Amir in french mean something like heart or love or something? So he would be "Good Heart" or "Good Love"

Thank you Alee! He is so sweet. Everytime we stop I open his window and he sticks his head out for some kiss. We stop about 2 in the morning for a few hours at a truck stop. DH and I were getting pretty tired. Back on the road for a few more hours. Can't wait to get him and myself home. I am tired of being on the road.

Ok, Here is the surprise. We have in the back of our horse trailer a new horse!!!! I sure you could have guessed that!
His name is Mon Amir BWA. He is the sweetest stallion I have ever laid my eyes on. Will post some more pictures later after I get him home. He needs alot of TLC so I won't be posting any body shots just yet. So now I guess we are a full fledged breeding farm.
I am going to use him next year for my mares. Can't wait. He will be my husbands horse as I already have 12. He has about 2000 hrs under saddle just out on the trails and endurance riding.Which I am hoping to get my husband into. I think he would absoultly love it. Anyways, Thanks for being patient with me.
