Have you all seen the new John Deere commercial featuring a woman farmer? She's showing true Farmgirl tenacity...doing all her farm work herself...not a man in sight! Whoo-hoo for John Deere for recognizing not all farmers are men.

We drive the 'Gators here at the zoo for manure hauling.

Wish I had that kind of $$ for one at home!

Wow, way cool, sounds a bit like rosie the riveter...I love it! I'm remodeling a trailer now, not always so difficult but certainly a challange.

I agree with you Jessie. What's funny is I always worked very hard outside. My husband and I worked sise by side. Now that my husband has passed away I have way more to do. I was telling my daughter when we were fencing, a few week back, that I thought I always did hard work but now that's Dave's gone . I said "I think he did the hardest part"!!LOL. when I worked at the nursery one of the fellows I worked with used to tell everyone that I was the strongest woman he ever saw. Haha---I'm so sure. MB

Well, you know, most farm-type commercials show the women gathering eggs - or waving at some man from the kitchen window, white lace curtains blowing in the breeze. They show the men doing all the heavy lifting and all. It's nice to see a commercial that shows that women get dirty, too!

LOL. I have a John Deere-475 tractor-mower for the cemetery and the last time I went into the local John Deere store and bought new mower blades they asked me if I wanted them to carry them out for me, hahahaha, I told them, only if you're going to come to the shop with me and put them on for me. LOL, they declined, had to do it all by my little ole' self. LOL!!!
