Good evening on this cool midwest spring day..It's cloudy and about 53 here in the midwest..I am going through a very rough divorce and would like to move to Ky..My friend has offered to let me come stay with her until I get back on my feet which I will be looking for a job... And it would give me a new place to start over.
She lives in the Campbellsville,KY area.
But I'd like to hear from you about the area you are in..
Here are a few things I enjoy doing ..Camping,birdwatching,gardening(still a brown thrumb) and just simple life..

Sorry about the divorce. My daughter lives in Greensburg a very small town (she is one of the Vets there) which is only about 10 miles from Campbellsville. She loves it there. A quite beautiful part of KY. Green River flows right through their town. Campbellsville is a college town so they have more businesses there. Good luck with your move to KY and finding a job.

Sorry to hear about the divorce. Tough. Been there too. KY is a great place isn't it? I have relatives south of Berea. THAT is where I want to be someday. In fact, if she'll let me....I'd move in with my friend..she's got the best little ole' farmhouse right on the side of a mountain. I could live there now if I could find work. Good luck to you...

Chinook..I was thinking. I absolutely, positively adore Louisville...but I like a city, and the close proximity to "get out" if need be. Louisville always seems to have something going on, and we go there whenever we want to get out of our town (usually about 4-5 times a year). It has sooo much to offer (great thrifts, wonderful restaurants, culture, history, the river, etc..) and we usually spend our anniversary at our favorite restaurant, Lily's, on Bardstown Road. The Highlands is such an incredibly diverse area--anything you want, it's there.

I wish I could say I liked where we live more, but they're just eating up the land left and right for large subdivisions, so it doesn't even feel like "home" anymore. I've seen it change so much in the last 10 years that we are starting to sock $$$ away to move somewhere else (probably near Louisville :))

I am so sorry!!! My sister lives in Lagrange KY. If I had to pick a place it would be there, small town, friendly people, and close to Louisville. Let me know where you are in relation to Louisville and maybe my sister can look you up.

Blessings,
Tina

Hi! I'm so sorry about your divorce (been there--I know what you're going through!)..I live in Northern Kentucky, just south of Cincinnati. It has wonderful things to offer, but it sounds like (to me) that you might looooooove where Miss Wilma lives, near Knob Lick (and Mammoth Cave). Barren County has been voted the nations "best rural place to live" and it is gorgeous--don't let the name "Barren County" fool you!

Janice and Miss Wilma can tell you more about Campbellsville and the areas near and beneath Louisville.

Welcome to the Bluegrass--we all belong to the "Knob Lick Countryclub" (Miss Wilma's group of gals), and we're always looking for members :)
