I've been wanting a nice dutch oven for quite awhile but wasn't willing to spend the $55-$75 brand new and could never find them at garage sales or thrifts. Today while shopping at Walmart I saw one on clearance for $25. It was the last one and is a dark green color, very pretty! I can't wait to use it for stews and roasts. What is your favorite thing to cook in a dutch oven?

Soups and stews and chili and roasts and....I have a La Crueset(sp?) that I got at a church sale for $3.00.....it's brown and was stained but I cleaned it up and have had it for several years now....I also got a saucepan of the same brand and color for that price! It was a history making buy....ahhh...memories of those great shopping moments when you really score! Congrats! Enjoy your meals in it you will love them!

Shucky beans or another name leather britches, they have to cook for a long time so the dutch oven is perfect
