I was trying to come up with a solution to the barter dilemma, then I meditated on Renes post and decided to tell what I do to keep up with swaps, exchanges and merit badges.
I have a MJ binder sectioned out and as soon as I sign up for something I write it down on the list, noting when its due, who to and addy if I have it, and I keep a note with the project of when its due also. I also note when I've sent it.
I list out what badges I put in for and when sent also. I forget if I don't write it down. Oh, I also subscribe to the topic of the swap etc in case it gets buried or when I need to refer back.
I would like to think its just busyness or forgetfulness, that makes some people not reciprocate, not the simple fact that they are dishonorable.

I need to do that, too. I am very forgetful these days. I think I will try to do this. Thanks a lot.

I can never remember what I need to write down by the time I find a pen and paper. I need to get better at that. My neighbor works off a list. Every night she writes down what she wants to accomplish the next day. It works for her most of the time. I tried it and got a lot done but didn't go off the list and a few things almost got ignored. Now I write make desert for DH
I think most people do their best, I would hate to think they forgot on purpose. I also think people are sooo busy that the fun little stuff they do gets lost with all the important but dull things that take priority. Children, work, home + meals.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.
